  1. A znaliście alternatywny front-end do threads?

Nie twierdzę, że jest do czegoś przydatny.

Piszę, po prostu, że jest, i jest open-source 😉

  7. Someone emailed me asking if #HTMX 2.0 works with complex #Shoelace #webcomponents. There was a Shadow DOM issue, but it all seems to work now with no additional #JavaScript.

This is pretty good news. Yay! 🥳

I pushed up a working sample to this branch. #aspnetcore #dotnet

  8. Some days ago I read an article how people wired up #Figma with a physical device: edges.ideo.com/posts/figproxy I was fascinated by the concept but found it sad, that it needs a custom browser, only available on macOS.

🎉 I sat down and now I have a working prototype which works in every browser and system:

    1. Run native JavaScript. e. g. an alert
    2. Trigger JS events to e. g. open a #Shoelace dialog including a YouTube video.

  9. There are 4 hours and $40,000 until the next Web Awesome stretch goal. It would be pretty cool if there was another date picker in the world.

  10. There is a day remaining for the Web Awesome / Shoelace Kickstarter campaign and I want to see the Combobox / Typeahead stretch goal happen. It is less than $4k away.

  11. CW: Web dev grumbling; Shoelace components

Urgh, this is weird: #Shoelace web components (which I think are *great*) are rebranding as "Web Awesome" (which I'm not sure I can face having to say out loud at work) and they are... fundraising via Kickstarter? With some sort of subscription-based model that I'm not sure I understand?

I'd been planning to use Shoelace more in a couple of projects I'm working on at the moment, but now I'm feeling some misgivings about that...

  12. You need this #JavaScript code snippet to get #htmx and #shoelace to play nice. Guess I have another blog post to write. 😅

  13. I got #Shoelace #webcomponents working with #aspnetcore, but there are some caveats—time to write another #dotnet blog post.

Overall, I could see this being really helpful for folks building #apps.

  19. #shoelace is really making it comfy to create the new UI for #WebComponentDevTools

If only I could work on it full time for even a week, would finish to much quicker. So much code to refactor, re-build and improve.

I'll try to ship v0.3 by the end of year!

  20. For those interested. My end of year OS roadmap is as follows:

    - Deliver WC DevTools UI Rework (with #shoelace )
    - Deliver a more reliable WCDT (and v3 for Firefox)
    - Look into supporting #solidjs Element Custom Elements in CE Lang Server
    - Rewrite & finish JS Crawler

  21. I love that #php is still alive and kicking for many devs. The #web is a big place and if you can build something cool with whatever technology you like then do it. Don’t be shamed into constantly learning new frameworks or libraries ( but do so if you like ) because that is just a racket. Use what you know, and learn new things that resonate with you.

For me I’ve been staying with vanilla web tech but also learning #svelte and @astro as well as #appwrite , plus using web components from #shoelace shoelace.style/

  22. My "tech stack" :
    1) #appwrite for back end
    2) #astrobuild for node app
    3) #replit for IDE
    4) #github for storage
    5) #shoelace shoelace.style for widgets
    6) #svelte for any magic
    7) #kaboomjs for game views
    8) #opengameart for art assets
    9) #kennynl kenney.nl/ for more assets
    10) #nightcafe for some special art

  23. Created and themed the Docs/Blog site for @kartedrop this morning.

Continue to be impressed with the awesome work @jaredwhite is doing with @bridgetown.

The main #RubyOnRails app uses #TailwindCSS and #Shoelace so getting the look and feel ported over to Bridgetown was very straightforward.
