Today was interesting. I focused on core mechanics. The base is Sudoku, but with twists to help or slow you down. All ideas were handwritten, so tomorrow I’ll implement them to see what sticks. Day 3 of #BuildingInPublic. In my mind it’s feeling good 🧐

I have a UIKit/Mac Catalyst app with a Safari extension target. Both have an app group container to share UserDefaults with one another. When that access happens however, I always get this dialog. What am I doing wrong? #UIKit #Swift #SwiftUI #BuildingInPublic

Day 2 of #BuildingInPublic. I already had a board rules engine with solid test coverage and good adaptability, built for simple games (less complex than chess). I had a lot of fun making it but never used it, so today I'm forking and adapting it for this game.

Hey there #Fediverse! It’s been a little while since my last update.

I’ve been heads-down on my #DITS issue tracker application, working hard to get the web client finished and #TestReady by the end of January. As a #SoloDev, taking on an ambitious project like this is definitely a challenge, but I'm making progress!

Is anyone else here #BuildingInPublic or developing software solo? I’d love to hear what your experience has been like!

On the #HomeLab side, I’m planning a major #Jellyfin overhaul. I’m moving from a #Debian-based HP Elitedesk 800 SFF (i7-7700) with a DAS to an HP Prodesk 600 mini (i7-8700t). The new setup will run in #Docker with all media stored on my #NAS.

With that i7-8700t, I’m looking forward to better #IntelQuickSync performance for transcoding. What are your thoughts on this hardware move?

Continue to be impressed with the awesome work @jaredwhite is doing with @bridgetown.

The main #RubyOnRails app uses #TailwindCSS and #Shoelace so getting the look and feel ported over to Bridgetown was very straightforward.
