It's really hard to find shoes that are tight enough in the heel without being too tight across the toes and I have to do some special lacing to get a good fit. #Srinagar : The government is helping a #Kashmiri #craftsman named Muhammad Yusuf Bhat to keep the #CenturiesOld #Palhoor ( #TraditionalSleeper ) alive in the #Kashmir Valley. 

Yusuf, a resident of #Zanturg village in #KharioPampore , not only uses #straw to make #shoes but also many other items such as #patij (mats), #cups & #baskets . 
This #art was used by the #Kashmiri people in #AncientTimes during severe cold season.
