Another weekend, another story of #sexism... sometimes its hard to believe this is 2024.

Now, in a sector that saw 'blind auditions' (with players behind curtains) do much to reduce sexism in #orchestras hiring practice, it seems that #female pianists are still facing discrimination(s) across the world of #classicalmusic.

So, despite seeming like a more 'civilised' area of the #musicindustry, what we still see are unacceptable discrimination & #sexualharrasment.

French police have arrested several former Ubisoft executives, including Serge Hascoët and Tommy François, in connection with an investigation into sexual harassment allegations at the game publisher. The investigation, which began at least three years ago, led to these arrests after two victims and the Solidaires Informatique union filed complaints. Hascoët and François resigned from Ubisoft in 2020 amid allegations of sexual misconduct. A lawyer for the plaintiffs highlighted the complicity of the company's white-collar workers in the alleged harassment. Ubisoft responded by stating it had no knowledge of the reported developments.

Boxing Ontario's national affiliate, #BoxingCanada came under scrutiny in 2022 after more than 120 #athletes , #coaches & #officials signed an #Open Letter calling on the #CanadianGovernment to address a " #ToxicCulture of #fear and #silence " within the umbrella organization.     
Officials with #BoxingOntario declined requests for an interview about "any matters which may be proceeding through our #DisciplinaryProcess ."
