I still can't say that it’s good my sons became #schoolrefusers, but the #schoolrefusal has taught me a lot.

If my son isn’t a #schoolrefuser, I'm not using SNS now.
I was able to learn a lot of information about #schoolrefusal.
The best thing was that I could hear a lot of voices from the school refusers and their families.
After all, the opinions of experienced people are more convincing than specialists. -
The hardest time for me after my son became a #schoolrefuser was "when he first stopped going to school."
I was very afraid of deviating from the route because I had a stereotypical idea of education.If there is a system that can support parents during this period, I think that unnecessary pressure will be reduced and children will be able to spend their time at home with more peace of mind.

This is a really positive story, aimed at dealing with young people's #anxiety around returning to #school post-pandemic. I shall be interested to see what the results are, and I suspect they will be better than punitive approaches that punish parents for children's difficulties.
#SchoolRefusal Too often it's assumed that kids miss school because of poor parenting, which both stigmatises families and excuses the lack of support for genuinely struggling young people.

@KatyElphinstone My child is currently being bullied and in a meeting to discuss this I referred to it as ‘bullying’, the teachers referred to it as ‘friendship issues’. 😡
BUT!! That wasn’t the worst bit! They then said they would refer to a state wide ABA program if there was mire ‘school refusal’ and they then asked my child:
“Do you know why you have to go to school?”
The answer was; “ To form habits” WHAT!!!???
Apparently that’s what we go to school for!
