I believe it's time to retire my #selfhosted #Ollama instance. My #RTX3080 can handle some models, but not the models (and sizes) that I actually need/want to use. Perhaps I can slap that 3080 into another rig for gaming or something...or maybe I can try using it for ComfyUI or image generation related. :nkoHype:

I have run it successfully on #Linux on a #mediapc with a #GTX1080, and my #SteamDeck, but the machine I'm on now is running an #RTX3080. I've tried a few different #distros and #desktop environments too.

In my old house, the computer was right next to my router, so no networking issues. In my new place, the router is in the other room. So I bought the TP-Link AV600 Powerline ethernet modules (TL-PA4010). The network speeds are slow. I opened my PC for the first time in well over a year (it's getting dusty 👀) and getting it ready for that GPU upgrade. I still love the look and can’t wait to optimise it even further with the next platform upgrade. Those Ryzen 7000 series 3D chips can't come soon enough.

I’m building a high-end #gaming PC. The #CPU is #intel core #i912900k, on #ASUS ROG MAXIMUS HERO motherboard.
But when it comes to the #GPU I have two ideas, either I go with one of #RTX3090 / #RTX3080 Ti / #rx6900xt or wait the new #Nvidia & #AMD series.
