The official Raspberry Pi 5 active cooler is a cooling solution that combines an aluminum heatsink and a temperature-controlled fan.
It reduces heat generation under heavy loads and prevents thermal throttling, maximizing performance.
Easy installation with dedicated pins. ✨ Ideal for long-term use and overclocking.

Not only to the office. When diy #pcbuilder choose to pc case, they always have to check the height of #cpucooler and gpu. Because some #ryzencpu need very big tall tower type cooler—or check the #aio installation.
But new ryzen pcbuilder can even choose mini-tower case—easily. Some people are saying only it's good for #itx(small sized PC)—emphasizing it's very minority thing.
But reality is far different than what they were thinking. Not every one can afford bigger size desktop pc—or normal size with fancy #aio.
Many people also prefer normal size. -
Many #youtube and #socialmedia saying new #Ryzen9600x 9700x are terrible. And saying #Amd is failing.
But that's completely one sided(gaming and fancy builder focused) story.I can easily prove it. When person build new ryzen pc, most common question is 'my pc were very hot'.
Whenever I saw some post about #pcbuilder troubleshoot in #ryzencpu, number one(??) answer is 'replace stock cooler'. Some high performance cpu, #aio is kind of mandatory or something.
New #ryzen9700x 9600x don't need fancy cooler, it's amazingly better to the office, isn't it? -

DIY PC builders: what are your favorite spots to buy parts, especially motherboards?

I got my new CPU and RAM, so now I just have to do a full suite of benchmarks before opening up my PC and swapping them out, and then running all the benchmarks again to quantify how much juice I've added!

Another reason why I opted for the 5700X instead of the 5800X is that I could just use AMD's Precision Boost Overdrive (PBO) and Curve Optimizer (CO) to get similar (or even higher) raw clock speeds.
Here's my 5700X OC'd to 4.82GHz. Stress-testing, I could reach 4.82 GHz single core and 4.60 all-core. Can we do 5.0GHz? We'll see.

This should be my last "last-gen" update for a while. Switching from a 5600G to a 5700X. The 5600G's going on a new build while the 5700X will go on my current rig that's waiting for its "last-last-last-gen" GPU to be upgraded. 😅
Why the 5700X and not the 5800X3D or 5900X? Value in terms of performance and power consumption.
Gonna wait for "next-gen" parts (AM5, Intel 13th+, DDR5) prices to drop before I change PCs—probably in a couple of years.

Laptop fan finally died on me last week (RIP) just a few days before I needed to deliver a training (amazing). So I did what any sane person would do: build a PC overnight from parts I accumulated during the pandemic. 😁
I will still get a replacement fan to fix my laptop but for the time being, I'm back to the the PC "master race" and I'm absolutely feeling the onset of upgraditis. 😂

Time to build some (great value) PCs from new parts I didn't use last year. 😁
AMD's AM4 (Zen 2 and Zen 3) APUs are still the way to go if you're on a budget but also want to play games even without a dedicated GPU. The 4650G and 5600G are both six-core, 12-thread APUs with integrated Radeon Vega 7 graphics. Great for productivity and some light gaming.

Cinebench scores aren't anything to write home about but I got ~10% higher scores without any thermal throttling after OC. Also ran stable after some stress testing with Prime95. Not bad for a used 9-year old CPU bought for around PhP3K.

The K in the 4770K means that the CPU is overclock-able so I made sure I partnered it with a Z97 motherboard.
Stock, the 4770K has a base clock of 3.5GHz with a boost up to 3.9GHz for 2 cores and 3.7GHz all cores.
Gave it a mild overclock this week and managed to run stable at 4.4GHz for 2 cores and 4.2GHz all cores.

Will still need to run some benchmarks but this should be able to handle most modern games at 1080p and emulate games up to the PS3 generation (especially if I overclock). Plus it has RGB so you know it can game. 😂
TOTAL COST OF PARTS: ~PhP 20K. If you choose a cheaper PSU, fans, and SSD, you can definitely make this build for less than 20K.

CASE: Inplay Meteor 03
PSU: GIGABYTE P650B 650W 80+ Bronze (don't skimp on the power supply)
STORAGE: 500GB Crucial MX500 SSD (could've definitely gone the cheaper route but I had an extra one lying around)The cable management isn't that bad. 😂

All my computers, monitors got fried in a direct lighting strike to my office. The lighting popped the tile when it went through the rebar in the floor. Sooooo....I am looking at a new game rig and monitor. Send me your mods and specs.
$2979 If my Evga 1080 ti sc2 11 gig card is good I can save some. Gonna see how much to build vs buy first.
