@ninz Our sewing group is rather small on Masto. Unfortunately #upcycle and #refashion are seldom used. I find a lot of niche sewing hashtags haven't picked up yet, so as long as you follow #sewing you might find a few projects for inspiration. How bad are these y2k items? I was a teen in the late 90's early 2000's. So much of that fashion has come back in to style it feels surreal. Maybe share pics of what you've got and some of the people here might have suggestions. 🙂

sprucing up an old tee! 👚🎨🪡 🌈

the original tee with a sol lewitt art print on it. its neckline had loosened, warped and was crying out for some care.

to neaten the neckline, i folded it in half towards the inside and stitched it down with a sewing machine. also shortened the sleeves to make it feel fresher.

then just for fun added some colour with posca markers, first time trying it out on fabric! 🙃🌈
