I think this is a poorly researched article. It relies heavily on a quote from the ACEA who are well known for dragging their feet on #Climate goals. The green MEP quoted had it right - grid investments are already underway. And far from making the grid unstable, with the advent of #VehicleToGrid technology, #EVs are part of the solution to smoothing out demand. -

Amsterdam welcomes a decline of nuisance tourism after a ‘stay away’ drive.
Some locals say the number of stag party-type visitors is down after a campaign targeting young Britons.
Earlier this year Amsterdam made headlines with an extraordinary “dissuasion” campaign targeting British men aged 18 to 34. A search for terms such as “stag night” or “cheap hotel Amsterdam” was a trigger for dire government adverts.

Poland’s PiS party puts the country at loggerheads with Germany as poll looms.
Poland’s relations with Germany have always been tumultuous, but the extent to which the PiS campaign in the run-up the parliamentary elections on 15 October has been reduced to a crude attack on opposition leader Donald Tusk’s supposed obeisance to Germany is extraordinary.
