A $3000 realityOS sounds expensive, but it is bargain for creatives as an alternative to buying a Laptop and a Pro Display XDR ($4999) or two Studio Dispays ($1599 each).

If all iOS apps run in an infinite number of virtual displays... Super interesting. Hopefully folks won't use these in coffee shops, LOLz.

The more I think about it, the more I’m confident that it’ll be possible to test a #RealityOS application directly from an iPhone ARKit context. The platform would be far more successful for developers to onboard on if they don’t necessary have to invest 3k to start building things. I put my request in to go to #Apple ‘s June 5th #WWDC this year.

I’ve never been but if I get accepted it should be fun. :-). I’m hoping to see the #RealityPro and #RealityOS. I love #VR and I can’t wait for it to reach a usefulness tipping point.

The top two feathers I want is SteamVR support and Desktop replacement ( hopefully on Mac and Windows! )

Apple officially announced the dates of #WWDC23, and I’m very excited to see if #Apple announces an #AR or #VR headset. Even though I'm excited to see if they reveal one, I'm not particularly enthusiastic about getting my head in one. I'm sure the experience will be second to none, but I feel it will be a mediocre product similar to the #AppleWatch.

@WildCat In these situations, I often try rebuilding or cleaning the buildFolder. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t.
However, #Apple should definitely work on its #SwiftUI #documentation and #errorMessages, especially since it will likely be the only available UI framework for the upcoming #realityOS.

@macrumors I think the early success could depend on the text quality.

If you can use it for virtual monitors, it could support your workflow.

A single Studio Display by Apple starts at €1,749 and a headset could potentially simulate multiple monitors around you.

Or (thanks to Stage Manager) pin your windows around you in space.

Universal Control lets you move your mouse pointer into floating windows.

Yeah #Apple iPadOS mouse pointer UI and interactions with button and text are weird and all but if you consider that end-game pointing device will be #AR eye tracking and not mouse/trackpad.
