I appreciate the Apple Classical app but two things are keeping me from really embracing it:

1. No Mac version. It's iPhone/iPad only.
2. No playlist folders. I have hundreds of playlists (really albums that I've turned into playlists) organized into a complex folder hierarchy in Apple Music. The Classical app turns all that into a single flat playlist list. #Apple #AppleClassical #AppleMusic #iOS #Mac

first three compatible apps installed: #appleclassical, #mastodon first-party app, and #ivory #ivoryapp… but how could i’ve forgot #duolingo!? and wouldn’t duolingo be great as a #3d #spatialexperience?!

Interesting. I added Gunther Schuller’s ‘Concerto da Camera’ to a playlist in the Apple Classical app. Later I reopened the app and attempted to reorder the playlist and I got this error message.

I’m guessing that Apple has split their music catalog into “Classical” and “Non-Classical” sections. I don’t want to complain too much because I listen to the app all the time and generally like it.

Will there be a setting to allow me to select #AppleClassical as the app that plays random tracks on connecting to my car stereo when it should be resuming my podcast playback?

A couple of criticisms after a first cursory investigation: they can’t spell mediaeval; and their definition of classical is very narrow and European in scope. #AppleClassical

Just got access to Apple Classical about 10 minutes ago and can already tell I will love it. Search where you can see all of the recordings of a particular work sorted any number of ways(a second level search still would be nice). Huge filter of recordings by instrument/voice.
