We did finish off our tour with the Sandheart militia in style. Our brave militia men went on a heroquest in the spiritworld, and brought back the Fiery Father's own power to kill a darkness demon with.
Fun was had, and I think the players felt it was suitably epic and mythic. The scenarios and setting material is really well done.The rules, in out case Questworlds worked decently. I did run it from the SRD, and it really has some oddities.

Rolistically speaking, 2025 is starting real well with the release of the long-awaited #QuestWorlds, @Chaosium's highly narrative rules system. I've already adapted settings like Star Wars Visions and The Magicians through QuestWorlds, and now I'm itching to create and run more. What will my next game be? #ttrpg #rpg

The second, and proper adventuring, session of our #QuestWorlds game set in #Prax is done and dusted. The Sandheart Militia was out marching in the rain and cold of dark season when they encountered strangers. A fight ensued, and considering the weather, funnily enough one of the bandits summoned fire elementals.
QuestWorlds works quite well, and I'm happy to be gaming in Sun County.

@ian_h_cooper How come you decided to change the Augment bonus in #QuestWorlds to a static +5 instead of the calculated bonus of Attribute/10 as in HeroQuest?

@fulminata oh it's not a bad system, far from it. But like you say, for the mythic gonzo stuff it's a bad fit.
I have said for a while now I don't think #Questworlds will ever be published, but since they did publish the SRD it's still playable. That was very generous of them.
Chaosium is run by a bunch of old RQ nerds, so it's not surprising they go all in on that, and what it's good for.

@ian_h_cooper @thegodlearners One of my most engaging podcasts because I'm super interested in playing #questworlds (after a Heroquest #Glorantha game at ChaosiumCon last year! Aaand I'm super interested in QuestWorlds Glorantha and more. I intend to re-listen to the podcast and take notes from just about all parts of the podcast. I love #runequestglorantha and #SpeedRune and can't wait to play #13thage again but in Glorantha. So absolutely agree about mixing it up. Provides max. varying fun!

Questworlds last night, we're playtesting the Pioneer Space genre pack - think 1950s golden age of science fiction.
We rescued an orphan, had a bar room fight, saw a vision of black pyramids, chased some bird like aliens with our jet packs,took part in an almighty fight and found out the location of the pyramids.
Thanks very much to @ian_h_cooper as he guides us through the trials and tribulations of his universe!

To conclude, I'd say that associating #Microscope and #QuestWorlds was a terrific idea. My players, all new to #ttrpgs had a huge blast. Building a world through that game was exciting to them and the lightness of the #rpg system was liberating in many ways. I'll call that a success.

I've finally managed to run a game of #TheMagicians, a TV show I absolutely love, using @Chaosium and @ian_h_cooper's #QuestWorlds.

All throughout the month of October, #ClubJdR, my main French place of residency on #Discord, is organizing a #ttrpg event for #Halloween. I'll be running #JohnKovalic's #SeriesPitch for #DramaSystem, #TheDagonBarandGrille, @robindlaws's #CthulhuConfidential, a post Black Death adventure using @PaulBaldowski's #TheDeeSanction / #SanctionRPG and a #TheMagicians hack using @ian_h_cooper & @Chaosium's #QuestWorlds.

The session wasn't very long but gave enough material for our next sessions using @ian_h_cooper & @Chaosium's #QuestWorlds. They want to play during the very beginning of the war with the alien species, in our next session, then go back in time with other PCs and play the dictator's rise to power.
To sum things up, I was really happy to see how the story developped. Everyone left satisfied and craving for more, which is a good sign.
Now we'll see how things go next week. 4/4 -

I was at the QuestWorlds session this year at ChaosiumCon 2023 (Tx! @ian_h_cooper) and the latest version of QW and Glorantha is among the top of my list for ttrpg wishes and stars - having had a great HeroQuest Glorantha game at the same con. #questworlds

@nukehavoc Thanks! I've so many #FitD games waiting 4 play, they'd make a multiverse. I want to house rule #Scum And Villainy and Gambits into #BladesInTheDark . #SavageWorlds is the only thing I haven't seen in your list, but have to one shot one day.
My latest experiences are: #Runequest, #Questworlds (Really Heroquest in #Glorantha), #Gumshoe: Swords of the Serpentine is great and #BelongingOutsideBelonging one shot of This Night on the Rooftops that was electrifying with family.

@Wyrdwyzard as it happens, I have taken that book down from the shelf! :)
It doesn't matter much for me it's not for the recent rules set. A simulationist, clunky system from the seventies is the *worst* option for mythic fantasy! I would use something like #questworlds instead anyway.

For folks out there who don't know me, I'm one of the authors of the #QuestWorlds #Glorantha campaign sourcebook, "Valley of Plenty." VoP has been unavailable for purchase for some time, but we've decided to release a new edition to roughly coincide with the release of the #QuestWorld rules by #Chaosium. The new book will be much larger and will include a lot of information we left out of the first book. It will also include new scenarios and story seeds for the young Wildlings to confront!
