    I just finished another #Pathfinder #RiseOfTheRunelords session with the gang. It was hella fun. The players finished exploring the Festering Maze of Sloth and I really got to pull out all the stops about how disgusting it was down in the bathhouse turned sewer. I also managed to get some good rolls in landing damage against my players, which I almost never get to do.

    The only thing I don't like about Pathfinder is that there is so much going on with the NPC character sheets that it's easy to miss things. All the extra powers and feats bore me to tears. I'm really looking forward to running a lighter game again. I'm definitely not a fan of crunch. It gets in the way of running a fast, smooth combat as I have to flip between multiple pages of creatures, spells, and the PHB for rules.

    It doesn't look like we'll get to #Ravenloft before Halloween this year, which is disappointing but fine. With luck, my players will be okay with an #OSR game, but at this point, I'd settle for #13thAge since it's lighter than Pathfinder and the monster descriptions are tight and powers are well described in easy to find places. It's a much easier game for me to run.

    The PDFs of then #13thAge #2e #TTRPG has been released. At first glance, I really like what I see! Really looking forward to the books. I generally avoid #DnD clones, but almost no rule is without exception. I like many ideas of this variant (icons, escalation die, proximity to #4e etc.)

    Really looking forward to getting back to the #Pathfinder game. Just had one member of my group move, so we're waiting until they're settled and then we can figure out the best way to do mixed in-person and virtual group. Thinking Discord for voice at the moment and a mix of Discord and Element for sharing pictures. I'd like to avoid VTT if possible.

    Also looking forward to completing the adventure path (AP) which would be a huge accomplishment for me as a #GM. We're about to wrap up the 4th book in the #RiseOfTheRunelords AP and I'm looking forward to the the next campaign after that. I'm strongly considering #13thAge since everyone seems to enjoy that game.

    - Taking a short break from #MasksANewGeneration, a #PoweredByTheApocalypse #PBTA supers game but ready to dive back in to the GM seat at a moments notice
    - #Trinity #Adventures game. Character creation was a headache compared to other #WOD #WorldOfDarkness games but the characters are fun
    - Our #MonsterHearts2 game should be starting up again at some point

    Wish I was playing
    - #13thAge for the amount of say players get in world building
    - #GURPS for the complete characters you get after creation, which CAN be a real chore
    - #D6StarWars as it was one of the first games I played and I really like the system
    - #CastlesAndCrusades #CNC for the old school style with modern sensibilities
    - #VampireTheMasquerade or #VampireTheRequiem. I've got a #VTR campaign I want to run at some point, but I don't know if/when I'll get to it. A long term obsession I haven't had the chance to play in 15-20 some years at this point
    - #StarTrek #LastUnicornGames. I like the way they handled life/career paths

    6. I love #13thAge (drivethrurpg.com/browse.php?fi), #ShadowOfTheDemonLord (drivethrurpg.com/browse.php?fi) and #WarhammerFRP’s second edition (drivethrurpg.com/browse/pub/54). Choosing between them is like choosing between children… who you also don't play with. 🤔

    I hear #WHFRP 4e is fairly close to 2e, but I’ve not had time to look into it, sadly, and it also strikes me as a bit premium-pricy anyway—not something I can do much anymore.
