We went for a drive along the #BRP west of #Asheville today, and it was one of our best ever. While 72F and overcast at home (2160') by the time we got to our favorite Roy Taylor Overlook (5580') it was a gorgeous blue sky, quite windy and 60F.
I thought we'd be seeing fully leafed-out trees, but at this elevation most of the trees had just barely begun, a good month-plus behind ours.
It was like Second Spring, and absolutely beautiful. This is one of my favorite spots, and the tourists today just swooped through the parking area, and never got out to go look at the overlook.

My wife says this is a pipe vine swallowtail. They were swarming the native pink azaleas along the mountainside.

Took Mom and Dad up on the Blue Ridge Parkway today. It´s hard for them to do a lot of walking, but they loved the trillium, wild geraniums, dogwoods, and native pink azaleas all blooming at different elevations along the road and overlook paths.

We played #CoC again yesterday: I think the core rules of #BRP are brilliant, but the details less so; 7e is too bloated for my taste. Playing styles / ideals differ immensely; I prefer more traction, more sense of urgency, etc., while others love to go round in circles & #roleplay for hours. #ttrpg

Currently running
- #Pathfinder1e "Curse of the Crimson Throne" remotely for my former players. Not the biggest fan of the system or Paizo's adventure construction, but the setting is fun.
- #TheDarkEye 5E campaign where the PCs currently are on a mission to save a Viking princess from a curse, but get distracted constantly.
- #TheDarkEye (using the #ilaris ruleset) retro campaign where we started out playing the baddies (they're just politically persecuted and misunderstood) from an ancient bad adventure and generally wreck the world by assuming every adventure the PCs aren't participating in fails for the "good guy".

- Some Inception-like sleeper agent game. Cool story, just hope it doesn't get more railroady. GM wants a story game experience but rules-wise is a bit stuck in the 90s (homebrew WoD/Feng Shui mashup)

Esto es simplemente un ejercicio exploratorio que además se hace a 8 días de cerrar las inscripciones.Pero se hace porque me gusta hacerlo.
De esto se pueden extraer conclusiones parciales y sesgadas si algo se puede extraer.
