Attended a roundtable dinner with #Moveworks tonight. About 20 of us. Had the opportunity to speak with Bhavin Shah and Vaibhav Nivargi about the current state and future of #Generative #AI It was quite the philosophical discussion listening to leaders who attended from orgs like #PaloAlto, #PureStorage, #Intuit, New York Stock Exchange and a few #BioTech companies.

We’ve got mention of Cloud Block Store on both #AWS and #Azure as well as the popular #Portworx cloud native storage platform from #PureStorage CEO during the #PureAccelerate keynote.

Now we have #PureStorage CEO Charlie Giancarlo reminding us that storage media matters, from CD to DVD to Netflix to flash. They’re really leaning in to the “hard disk is dead” messaging, their original pitch.

He says that “by 2028 there will be no new hard disks sold” which is a pretty bold (and unlikely) prediction. That’s easily 5-10 years ahead of my guess for the death of HDD. #PureAccelerate
