Now we have #PureStorage CEO Charlie Giancarlo reminding us that storage media matters, from CD to DVD to Netflix to flash. They’re really leaning in to the “hard disk is dead” messaging, their original pitch.

He says that “by 2028 there will be no new hard disks sold” which is a pretty bold (and unlikely) prediction. That’s easily 5-10 years ahead of my guess for the death of HDD. #PureAccelerate
