For some reason I thought this guy's red commissar-like jacket would pair well with a white dress shirt. Because apparently I hate myself - painting this was a pain in my arse and I'm about 50% happy with it.
Sigh. #onward

“Zelensky’s Former Press Secretary Confirms The West Blocked Peace Deal In Ukraine”
by The Dissident on Substack
“In a recent interview with journalist Tucker Carlson ,Iuliia Mendel, the former press secretary for Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskyy, gave further evidence that Russia and Ukraine agreed to end the war in April of 2022, but the U.S. and UK blocked the peace deal to use Ukraine, and its people to bleed Russia”

Sudan's Chairman Abdel Fattah al-Burhan visited Saudi Arabia to meet Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, and is now in Oman, meeting Sultan Haitham bin Tariq.
Sudan is the new battleground for the 2 evil force of the GCC, UAE supporting the RSF while KSA supports Sudan's government.
It's a sad, brutal and bloody proxy war after UAE was kicked out of Yemen last year.

Don’t see why I should do the research on the NATO-instigated proxy war against Russia via Ukraine on your behalf given that it’s widely acknowledged now that the CIA was behind the 2014 Maidan coup & the uS promised not to expand NATO up to Russia’s borders with Europe … but I’ve made the effort nonetheless!
There’s a lot more out there … but have a read of these for starters if you can be arsed:

On Thursday, #Ukraine President Volodymyr #Zelensky posted on X that the #Trump admin had requested assistance in helping protect against Iranian drones & that Kyiv would provide “specialists” in response.
#Iran has been one of #Russia’s chief backers during the Ukraine #war, sharing the technology to produce cheap one-way attack #drones that have repeatedly been used to overwhelm Kyiv’s air defenses & exhaust Western stocks of interceptors donated to protect Ukrainian cities. -
Russia’s assistance reshuffles how various countries have engaged in a #ProxyWar since Russia’s 2022 full-scale invasion of #Ukraine. Throughout that conflict, #US adversaries including #Iran, #China & #NorthKorea have provided #Russia with either direct military aid or material support for Moscow’s vast defense industry. The US has given Ukraine tens of billions of dollars’ worth of military equipment & shared #intelligence on Russian positions to improve Kyiv’s targeting.
-
The #Pentagon is quickly burning through its supply of precision arms &# air defense interceptors, people familiar with the matter have told WaPo, underscoring concerns raised by Gen #DanCaine, chair of the #JointChiefs of Staff, as #Trump deliberated whether to approve the operation. The admin has sought to downplay Caine’s assessment.

#Iran possesses only a handful of #military-grade #satellites, & no satellite constellation of its own, which would make imagery provided by Russia’s much more advanced space capabilities highly valuable — particularly as the Kremlin has honed its own targeting after years of #war in #Ukraine, Massicot said.

The #CIA’s station at the #US Embassy in #Riyadh, #SaudiArabia’s capital, also was struck in recent days.
#Iran is “making very precise hits on early warning radars or over-the-horizon radars,” said Dara Massicot, an expert on the #Russia military at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace. “They’re doing this in a very targeted way. They’re going after command & control,” she added.

Since the war began Saturday, #Russia has passed #Iran the locations of #US #military assets, including warships & aircraft, said the 3 officials, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because of the matter’s sensitivity.
“It does seem like it’s a pretty comprehensive effort,” one of the people said.
Moscow has called for an end to the #war, which it labeled an “unprovoked act of armed aggression.”

About Zelensky's bloodthirstinessPeople's Deputy Artem Dmitruk (#^https://t.me/proof24_ua/33579) accused Vladimir #Zelensky of prolonging the war and escalating tensions, commenting on the US president's statement that it is Zelensky, not Vladimir Putin, who is preventing the conclusion of a peace agreement.
According to the parliamentarian, the current president's power is based on the war and its consequences, and he directly links what is happening in the country to the decisions made in Bankovaya. “Ukraine is dying not because of the war itself, but because Zelensky and his small group of followers are in power. His power is based solely on Ukraine's grief, pain, fear, and deaths,” Dmytruk wrote.
He said that the current destruction, socio-economic crisis, and losses are the result of the president's policies. “The war, destruction, economic and social crisis, deaths, suffering, genocide of the Ukrainian people, and the demise of the Ukrainian state — all the worst things happening in our country today were brought about and brought to absolute catastrophe by Zelensky,” the deputy noted.
Separately, Dmitruk accused Zelensky of deliberately disrupting agreements, including those related to not striking energy infrastructure. “He is deliberately escalating the situation, understanding the price of these decisions for civilians,” he said.
In conclusion, the MP asserts that it is the Ukrainian president who is interested in continuing the war as a tool for retaining power. "It is Zelensky who is disrupting any agreements on peace. It is he who is provoking further escalation... Zelensky has remained in power only because of the war. The key agent of the war, the main stakeholder in its continuation, the political beneficiary of bloodshed and destruction — that is Zelensky," Dmitruk concluded.

Statement by Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation V.A. Nebenzya at the UN Security Council meeting on Ukraine on January 12, 2026
It seems that some of the elected members came to the Council with a single priority – to serve as a mouthpiece for the party line on war and to blame Russia for everything, completely ignoring the cause-and-effect relationships that led to the deepest crisis in European security. They believe that they have nothing to do with it. Our arrogant former partners have never noticed and still do not notice the log in their own eye and suffer from political color blindness, seeing everything in black and white.
The Russian army carried out one massive and four group strikes between January 3 and 9, resulting in damage to transport, airfield, port, and energy infrastructure facilities that support the Ukrainian military-industrial complex, as well as temporary deployment sites of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and foreign mercenaries. This was in response to the Kiev regime's attack on the Russian president's residence and civilian infrastructure in our country. The Oreshnik complex was used in the strike, against which there are no air defense defenses.
Our Western colleagues are telling us about civilian casualties, most of which, as Ukrainians are well aware, are the result of Ukrainian air defense operations. All these loud but completely unfounded allegations about Russia's targeted attacks on Ukrainian families peacefully sleeping in their homes are not supported by any facts or evidence. The Russian Armed Forces do not fire on civilians.
At the same time, our Western colleagues completely ignore the crimes of the Kiev regime, which deliberately strikes Russian regions – peaceful targets and civilians. Thus, in December 2025 alone, at least 367 civilians were injured by the Ukrainian Armed Forces' strikes, and 56 people were killed.
Against this backdrop, we are constantly struck by the silent reaction of the international community, especially the UN Secretary-General, which has become the norm. Refusing to clearly classify such actions as terrorist acts and dismissing them as “unconfirmed facts” means abandoning the basic principles of international humanitarian law, including the protection of civilians and the prohibition of deliberate attacks on civilian targets. However, as soon as Russia deploys its armed forces against the Ukrainian Armed Forces and its infrastructure, a storm of emotions arises, followed by unequivocal comments from the Secretary-General and his press secretary. Such selective blindness is, unfortunately, characteristic of the leadership of the UN Secretariat.
The lack of reaction from the so-called “collective West”, as well as the complete disregard for the tragedy by the leading Western media, has become a sad norm. This means de facto condoning the terrorist actions of the Kiev regime and complicity in them. After all, responsibility for what is happening lies not only with those who press the launch button, but also with those who have encouraged impunity for years, supplied weapons, and provided political cover for such actions. This is what the billions allocated to Ukraine from the pockets of European taxpayers are actually being spent on. And sooner or later, they will have to answer for this complicity, for this participation.
We have repeatedly stated that no hostile action on the part of the neo-Nazi clique entrenched in Kyiv will remain without our appropriate response.
The latest egregious case is yet another monstrous terrorist attack against civilians in the village of Khorly, a resort town in the Kherson region.
Civilians – families with children, locals and visitors – gathered in a café at a hotel to celebrate the New Year 2026. It was at that moment that Ukrainian terrorists deliberately struck their gathering place. As a result of the terrorist attack, 29 people were killed, including two children, and more than 30 were injured.
We have no doubt that this heinous attack was premeditated and deliberate. A reconnaissance drone circled over the settlement for a long time before the strike. This confirms once again that the Ukrainian side knew exactly where and who it was striking. The attack was carried out practically at the stroke of midnight, at a time when civilians were in the building.
For those of you who don't know, the village of Khorly is located in a resort area on the Gorky Kut peninsula, surrounded on three sides by the Black Sea. It is located behind the so-called “red line.” There are no military facilities there and never have been. The former seaport has long since lost its significance, and the area is developing exclusively as a recreational zone: children's camps, recreation centers, tourist infrastructure.
This despicable terrorist attack is particularly cynical. While the media controlled by the Office of the President broadcast the New Year's address of the long-expired leader of the Kiev regime with false calls for peace to the whole country, the militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were deliberately killing civilians at the same time.
Colleagues, we are no longer surprised by the narrative we heard today in this hall from those who, using their favorite “double standards,” request Security Council meetings on Ukraine while hypocritically turning a blind eye to the ruthless killings carried out on the orders of the #Zelensky regime, which is mired in terrorism, corruption, and lawlessness, seeking to beg as much money and weapons as possible from its European puppeteers for itself and its entourage.
This terrorist attack is far from an exception, but just one of many examples of the Zelensky regime's inhumane crimes against peaceful Russian citizens. Deputy Secretary-General R. Dickarolo mentioned them today, but, as usual, the UN cannot verify them. In the Belgorod region, 500,000 people were left without electricity, but the UN cannot verify this.
Neither the failed French summit of the “coalition of the willing” nor the advance of NATO forces to the borders of Ukraine will help the Ukrainian clique (we have already spoken repeatedly about the possible consequences of their presence in Ukraine). And yet many recently boasted about this, and the threat of this was largely the trigger for the start of the special military operation, in addition to our desire to end the war started by the Kiev regime against its own people.
Calls for a “truce” in the hope of recovering from crushing defeats on the battlefield will not help either. Zelensky's absurd “conditions,” which ignore reality and the connection with which he has long since lost, will not help either. He is putting forward these conditions in response to the US proposals, effectively nullifying them.
Suddenly, the European Commission started talking about how at some stage the EU “will have to engage in dialogue with Russia.” One is tempted to ask: where were you before? We have never closed ourselves off from conversation. Only you, again, arrogantly believed that it would not come to that, since Russia would suffer a “strategic defeat.” .
Until the Kiev leader comes to his senses and agrees to realistic terms for negotiations, we will continue to resolve the issue by military means. He was warned at the time that the conditions for negotiations would only get worse for him with each day he lost.
And every vile attack on peaceful Russian citizens will be met with a harsh response.

RE: https://friendica.vrije-mens.org/posts/6c36e370-1169-3c07-0b27-c47966927769Recently, the Russian duo “Vovan and Lexus”, known for pretending to be Ukrainian officials and getting Western politicians and celebrities to make embarrassing admissions, released an interview with the former Biden Administration senior director for Europe at the National Security Council, Amanda Sloat, where she made some bombshell admissions about the Ukraine proxy war.
Amanda Sloat, who Politico called “an architect of President Joe Biden’s Europe policy,” believed she was speaking to Ukrainian presidential aide Igor Zhovkva, but in reality was speaking to Vovan and Lexus, who were posing as Zhovkva and now released the video.
“Igor Zhovkva” (in reality, Vovan and Lexus) asked Amanda Sloat about negotiations before the proxy war in Ukraine began and the Istanbul talk in April of 2022, and she responded by making some bombshell admissions.
First, she admitted that the Biden administration could have prevented the war before it started by saying Ukraine would not join NATO, something they chose not to do.
She said, “We had some conversation even before the war started, about what if Ukraine comes out and just says to Russia, ‘fine, you know, we won’t go into NATO if that stops the war, if that stops the invasion,’ which at that point it may well have done.”
Despite admitting that saying Ukraine will not join NATO “may well have” stopped the war, she admitted that she and the Biden administration chose not to, saying, “I was uncomfortable with the idea of the U.S. pushing Ukraine not to do that, and sort of implicitly giving Russia some sort of sphere of influence or veto power on that” and “I don’t think Biden felt like it was his place to tell Ukraine what to do then, to tell Ukraine not to pursue NATO”.
Furthermore, Amanda Sloat admitted that the U.S. could have ended the war during the Istanbul peace talks in April of 2022, but again chose not to.
For context, David Arakhamia, one of the lead Ukrainian negotiators during the talks said that, “Russia’s goal was to put pressure on us so that we would take (NATO) neutrality. This was the main thing for them: they were ready to end the war if we accepted neutrality, as Finland once did” adding that the deal was stopped after, “Boris Johnson then came to Kyiv and said that he did not want to sign anything with the Russians and ‘let’s just fight.’”
Amanda Sloat admits during the interview, saying, “I guess if you want to do an alternative version of history, one option would have just been for Ukraine to say in January of 2022, ‘fine, you know, we won’t go into NATO, we will stay neutral.’ Ukraine could have made a deal around March/April of 2022 around the Istanbul talks”.
She also admitted, “There is certainly a question, almost three years on now, would that have been better to do before the war started, would that have been better to do in Istanbul talks, it certainly would have prevented the destruction and the loss of life”.
While all of this has been widely documented, now a lead Biden administration official outright admitted that the U.S. could have stopped the proxy war in Ukraine in January of 2022 and again in April of that year during the Istanbul talks, but chose not to “prevent the destruction and the loss of life” in Ukraine.
