Congratulations to Oracle for being the Mastodon Linux communities most disliked company. It is hard to argue with the results. Oracle *is* a bunch of bastards.
However, I thought for sure it would be NVIDIA. From my personal experience, my life has been so much easier since switching from NVIDIA to AMD and replacing the Broadcom card in my laptop.

I'm happy to see that it's not a high percentage, but it also means that there is room for helping to clarify it for people. I did try to answer some questions that came in some of the comments. "Kink is sexual for me, but not necessarily others" was meant to help complement the statements in the first poll based on feedback. Not everyone projects their own version of defining kink onto others, and that is really nice. It's something that needs to happen mindfully so when someone is talking about #kink it's not immediately labeled as a #sex discussion. And I appreciate it when people put in the effort to account for the different perspectives on the matter. 49% of respondents either didn't feel like kink was sexual for them or didn't feel like it could be non-sexual for others. Given the numbers in the first poll, I am inclined to believe the former is predominant among the survey takers. I could be wrong, but I'll do so with some gusto.

My understanding is that it really only applies to sexual contexts, even if typical sex acts aren't necessarily involved, it's still scratching the sexual pathway in the brain. However it seems this framing only agrees with 24% of voters and I'm very interested in hearing more opinions about this to get a better understanding.
"Kinks are different from fetishes" was added to check how people felt about this right after considering the sexual components to a fetish and whether this would be any different from the answers to the first poll in relation to kink and sexuality. 66% of people agree with this statement which is actually fewer than I expected. But as a wise person mentioned for the first poll, I might be phrasing things as bouba in a kiki world or vice-versa.

It was also really helpful in finding the gaps in how I phrased things. While 7% of respondents said that "Kink is inseparable from sex", a 27% disagreed with the statement that "Kink is not inherently sexual". The implication here is that 20% of respondents feel that "Kink is inherently sexual, but is separable from sex" which isn't making sense to my brain but it's possible that the phrasing was unclear. I would have expected these to be much more close numerically.
Also I felt like maybe "To have kinks and have fetishes are the same thing" was also phrased weird but the percentage of people agreeing was the same as "Kink is inseparable from sex". I wanted to gauge how many people felt that "kink === fetish" and I did in fact expect this to be roughly the same as people who felt that "kink == sexual"
The comments were also immensely helpful in helping me understand the range people have for defining these terms, and how I made some mistakes in formulating the options. A common response I noted was that people might find kink to be always sexual in their experience but are very open and/or accepting of others who don't bind #kink and #sex together.
