Open Call für Aro und Ace Künstler*innen!

Für die AktivistA-Konferenz 2026 am 5. September in Stuttgart suchen wir kreative Beiträge, die sich den vielfältigen Facetten der Aromantik und/oder Asexualität widmen.
Diese können je nach Format auf der Bühne präsentiert oder performt werden. Im Anschluss planen wir einen Round Table mit allen Beitragenden, um über die Bedeutung und Herausforderungen der künstlerischen Auseinandersetzung mit aro/ace-Themen zu sprechen.
Falls du Interesse hast oder mehr Infos benötigst, schreib gerne eine Mail an finxthulk[at]tutamail.com mit ein paar Sätzen über dich und deine Beitragsidee.

Es sind alle kreativen Beiträge wie z. B. Gedichte, Performances, Skulpturen, Videos, Fotografien etc. willkommen, egal ob du das als “Kunst” labelst oder nicht. :)

Zudem haben wir einen kleinen Topf für Fahrtkosten etc., außerdem gibt es wie bei allen Beiträgen Mittagessen umsonst.

I suspect there may be many people out there, who just don’t like sex that much, or (like me) not AT ALL, but due to the cultural expectation that "everyone wants and likes sex!", they feel pressured into living a false life just to "be normal".

In discussions I learned many out ace ppl figured themselves out surprisingly late in life.

Since today is International #Asexuality Day I am celebrating by eating cake, as we aces do. Went to Craftsman and Wolves and Tartine for two cakes to enjoy! The Chocolate Soufflé Cake was my first favorite cake I had when I moved to SF and the other one I picked for it's description and the fact that it has some of the ace colors in it (purple hues for the blackberry) and it just sounded super tasty! Well. I'm #asexual, so I'm having a day! 🎉

For me, it's 100% no drive to want to have sex with anyone. The word "sexy" means nothing at all to me. I can find you aesthetically pleasing, intellectually stimulating, emotionally invigorating, an engaging conversation partner.

Sexually attractive, never. Sex doesn't help me or hinder me in pair bonding. But I enjoy sex like good music, or poetry. I make you sing, and write lines of fire into your body. I love the sweet, pink cotton candy smell of your lust. And afterwards, we're what we were before, to me.

I forget that sex is a thing. It's not malicious, I didn't lose interest. I didn't have it in the first place.

Don't chase my orgasm. That's not a thing. Don't try to make me lose my mind in lust. That doesn't happen.

But I do enjoy what we're having. Just not the way you do. Don't try to fix this. There is nothing broken. I'm not missing a thing, and you're doing nothing wrong.
