Am I the only one having issues with the Aurora #Android app? Updating & installing apps seems broken.
I'm using V4.8.3 on LineageOS 22.2 (Android 15) & on Iodé 7.6 (Android 16). The latter returns "Unable to parse TLS packet header" the older Android phone attempts to download & silently fails. It does not matter if I use a Google account or an anonymous account.
UPDATE: seems it is an issue with our router. Using a 4G connection works.

Moin,
ich habe aufgrund eines konkreten Anlasses* heute mal auf einem gebraucht organisierten Testandroiden für mich das erste Mal einen Google-Account (mit Fantasiedaten) angelegt. Auf Details zum Anlaß - dann vermutlich mit Nennung von Roß und Reiter - komme ich separat später noch einmal zurück.
Das ist der totale Horror.
Ständig nervt das Ding mit dem Wunsch nach Datenabsaugungen, der gruselige Spielladen beginnt ungefragt mit der Aktualisierung irgendwelcher dubioser (vorinstallierter) Apps und trümmert einen mit Werbung und ähnlichem zu.
Dazu kommt die schlechte Bedienung und fehlende Übersicht usw.
Und daß ein Android im Auslieferungszustand (vermutlich vom Vorbesitzer zurückgesetzt, nehme ich an) mit herstellereigener UI wirklich ein Gruselkabinett ist, fällt mir dann auch wieder auf. Vorinstallierte Bloatware, jede Menge Kram nicht zu deinstallieren, nicht zu deaktivieren...
Bin ich froh, daß ich diesen Test auf einem separaten Gerät gestartet habe, was zudem nur WLAN via Gastzugang erhalten hat.
Und die Meinung über im Anlaß genannte Bank dümpelt zwischen unseriös und kriminell... später ggf. mehr.

Jede App und jedes Gerät, weltweit, ohne Möglichkeit des Widerspruchs. -

I did the math, and I've been using GrapheneOS for a little over two years. I know there are many who have used it longer.
It's been a really positive experience. There are a lot of great open source apps out there. I don't need Google Play Services.
I use Obtainium to update my 45 phone apps. Most of these app projects are posted on GitHub, Codeberg, or F-Droid.
I think this ecosystem will continue to grow. We don't need Google Play Store.

Seit Android 12 lässt sich leider nicht mehr „Kein Standardbrowser“ auswählen. Man muss also immer einen Browser festlegen, in dem Links aus anderen Apps geöffnet werden. Das kann unpraktisch sein, wenn man je nach Anwendung oder Webseite unterschiedliche Browser verwenden möchte.

Seit Android 12 lässt sich leider nicht mehr „Kein Standardbrowser“ auswählen. Man muss also immer einen Browser festlegen, in dem Links aus anderen Apps geöffnet werden. Das kann unpraktisch sein, wenn man je nach Anwendung oder Webseite unterschiedliche Browser verwenden möchte.

Telegram vuelve a Wear OS cinco años después con una app oficial en beta
La app de mensajería lanzó una nueva versión para smartwatches con Wear OS, disponible para usuarios del programa beta en la Play Store. Mantiene fondos de chat, soporte para grupos grandes y un botón para continuar la conversación en el teléfono (Fuente Sammyguru).
Los usuarios de smartwatches con Wear OS que dependían de notificaciones genéricas o aplicaciones de terceros para seguir sus conversaciones de Telegram tienen una buena noticia. Telegram lanzó una nueva app oficial para Wear OS dirigida a sus usuarios beta, disponible para descargar ahora mismo en la Play Store, después de haber discontinuado su versión anterior para wearables en 2021.
El regreso no es una versión recortada ni una interfaz de emergencia. La nueva app para Wear OS conserva gran parte de lo que los usuarios conocen de la versión completa, incluyendo los fondos de chat personalizados. Incluso los grupos grandes resultan relativamente fáciles de navegar gracias a un diseño condensado e inteligente. Un detalle de usabilidad que los usuarios de smartwatch van a apreciar especialmente es que las conversaciones incluyen un botón prominente de «Abrir en el teléfono» para poder continuar fácilmente la lectura desde la versión completa de la app.
Si estás inscripto en el programa beta de Telegram, ya podés ver la opción de instalar la versión Wear OS en la Play Store. Si todavía no estás en el programa beta pero querés unirte, podés hacerlo yendo al final de la página de Telegram en la Play Store y tocando «Unirse» en la tarjeta del programa beta.
Para los usuarios de Galaxy Watch, Pixel Watch o cualquier smartwatch con Wear OS que usen Telegram como su mensajero principal, el regreso de la app oficial es un cambio de calidad de vida significativo después de cinco años de soluciones alternativas.
