Once upon a time, long, long ago, #Apple had a motto: "It just works!" Not any more. #OS26 should be retracted!

Just now noticed that pressing the space button while the Music app is open in MacOS 26, doesn't start/pause the current song any more..

That is a real bummer..

Not sure I like the new icons.. They function, but seem lackluster compared to other changes in the new upgrade.
Other icons that fit the #Glass theme make a lot of sense, but others don't.

In #OS26, I've created & saved a ringtone. When it saved, I was not given the opportunity to name it, so it had the genericname, "Ringtone." Using the label element gesture in #Voiceover, I named it according to the song title. Despite this, if I perform a 2-finger scrub to go back a screen, Voiceover says, "ringtone, ringtone." However, if I then double-tap, “Sounds & haptics” it shows up according to the name I provided for the element label. Has anyone else seen this and would be willing to share any workarounds? The file is saved in the Files app, but I can’t use that version, because it says it needs to be 30 seconds or less. I used to have this as my ringtone, prior to OS 26. In the files app, the song title is the title of the file, which is how I want it when I save it as a ringtone.

Am I the only one testing the 4th developer beta of #OS26 & unable to play received audio messages through my usbc AirPods Max? When I double-tap an audio message with #Voiceover enabled & my headphones connected, nothing is heard. However, if I put them down around my neck for a minute, the sound works just fine. Thoughts?

I installed iPadOS 26.0 Developer beta on my iPad mini 7. This is the first time I've tried a pre-release. The transparency that everyone is talking about isn't too bad. Multi-tasking with multiple screens takes some getting used to. And Preview is just fantastic. #iPadOS26 #OS26 #Apple
