This got me thinking about my ongoing resistance to #iPadOS26, and how aside from the various issues/bugs that have yet to be fixed, there's a philosophical shift I've found it hard to make peace with. Earlier iterations of iPadOS felt like efforts to develop something new and true to the hardware (albeit with enforced limitations). 26 feels like they gave up and said "let's just make it more recognisably Mac."

So, I heard it was possible to use Slide-Over on #iPadOS26, but I can’t get it to work. Does anybody know how to place two apps side-by-side and NOT into two windows with unnecessary chrome? The absence of this effectively downgrades my #iPad Mini from a multi-tasking machine to a glorified iPhone.

Any chrome on iPad users know how to re-enable the bookmarks bar on the latest iPad update? (IPadOS 26.4)

Net searches keep turning up instructions that refer to menu tems that don't exist in this version. Or, posts by people asking this question.

<rant>Companies need to stop messing with the UI just because they can. Its tough enough to provide tech support for older or non-savy users without you folks moving/hiding things </rant>

I started using my IPad again, it feels pretty great. Only thing is, I sometimes have to convince my IPad that I’m inside of an edit box and I’m not trying to do commands. For example, if I am typing something and I hit the letter A for example, it thinks I’m trying to turn on Type to Siri when I am not trying to do that in the slightest. It’s actually pretty annoying for sure. Anyone else experiencing this? #IPad #VoiceOver #IPADOS26 #Tech

Well, the latest #beta for #iPadOS26.4 has crashed springboard three times in less than 24 hours. Seems that doing a weekly beta is definitely less stable #apple I assume they had to push it out due to the product launches this week.

  • Playlist Playground – umożliwi tworzenie playlist na podstawie wpisanych przez nas kryteriów z wykorzystaniem AI. W wyniku otrzymamy listę z 25 utworami i automatycznie utworzoną nazwą;
  • aplikacja otrzyma nową opcję powiadamiającą o koncertach w pobliżu
  • albumy i playlisty będą miały pełnoekranowe grafiki
• Apple Podcasts – umożliwi oglądanie podcastów poprzez wykorzystanie technologii HLS (HTTP Live Streaming)
• Ochrona przed kradzieżą będzie teraz domyślnie włączona
• Aplikacja Wiadomości
  • Dodano szyfrowanie End-to-End dla wiadomości RCS
  • Dodano kilka nowych animacji, jak np. podczas tworzenia nowego czatu
• Aplikacje, w których można podejrzeć ustawienia konta Apple (np. App Store, Apple Music) mają teraz ujednolicony widok tych ustawień

macOS Tahoe 26.4 beta 1

• Pojawiła się możliwość ustawienia limitu ładowania baterii znana z ustawień iPhone'a
• Przywrócona została możliwość włączenia kompaktowych zakładek w aplikacji Safari (również w iPadOS 26.4)
• Podczas uruchamiania aplikacji korzystających z Rosetta 2 pojawi się komunikat o zakończeniu wsparcia w nadchodzącej wersji macOS 27

W pozostałych betach systemów, tj.:
