As multiple wildfires burn out of control across BC, former NDP MPs & MLAs, Indigenous leaders and community leaders have written an open letter to David Eby and the BC NDP caucus, calling for action on the climate crisis.
"Signing the letter was, first of all, an expression of disappointment that this government has retreated so wholly from its climate commitment (…). Secondly, it’s an expression of hope that they’ll do the right thing and recommit to the climate program and address climate change."
"I can’t think of a less fair future, a less equal future, than one in which runaway climate change is allowed to continue."

Harnessing solar power has saved Europe €20 billion between 1 March and 15 July by lowering demand for fossil fuel imports.
'Over the 137-day period, solar delivered average savings of €146 million per day. This is more than what France spends on defence each day.'
