I am reading Edward Tufte's incredible tome "Beautiful Evidence" and it connects my data nerd with my design nerd so well. It has me thinking about all kinds of ways evidence is designed in #SRE.
Searching for some online resources, I found what looks like an amazing course, and the whole syllabus is apparently in GitHub pages. Here's the one on the thing I learned about today, Charles-Joseph Minard's map of the War of 1812:

Auf dem so genannten #Wiener Kongress verhandelten die Staaten Europas ab 1814 über eine neue Friedens- und #Machtordnung für #Europa. Der Kongress war das Großereignis seiner Zeit, sowohl politisch als auch kulturell und gesellschaftlich.
"Diese #Tonfilmoperette wendet sich implizit und explizit sowohl gegen die despotischen Methoden #Metternichs, die #Unterwürfigkeit der Wiener, die #Grausamkeit der #Justiz, wie auch gegen die #Brutalität des #Zarismus und die unheimliche #Esoterik der (hier anachronistisch zitierten) russischen #Avantgarde: Ein russisches Ballett tanzt nach #Borodins (tatsächlich erst 1890 uraufgeführtem) „Fürst Igor“.
#Napoleons Rückkehr aus Elba wird hingegen fast im Stil von Abel Gance’ Napoleon-Film gefeiert, wobei die #Marseillaise erklingt. An diese humorvolle und kritische Fortschrittlichkeit konnten die Neuverfilmungen der Nachkriegszeit nicht mehr anknüpfen. (...) Er wurde am 1. Oktober 1937 im Deutschen Reich von der Filmprüfstelle verboten, weil er das „nationalsozialistische Empfinden“ verletzt habe und #Juden an der Produktion mitgewirkt haben. Sowohl der seinerzeit sehr beliebte Darsteller Otto Wallburg als auch der Drehbuchautor Robert Liebmann wurden im #Konzentrationslager #Auschwitz-Birkenau ermordet."
