    A hawking glove, or falconry glove is worn to protect the falconers skin from the sharp talons of the birds when they land. Usually the bird was carried on the left hand explaining the lack of wear on this right-hand glove.
    The glove is made in two main pieces and is lined throughout. There are some special details on this object such as the silver-gilt thread embroidery.
