Locals near Mold (Yr Wyddrug) in North Wales were afraid of the hill of Bryn yr Ellyllon.
There were numerous stories that the hill was haunted by the ghost of a spectre in gleaming gold. In 1833 the hill was excavated and the exquisite Mold Gold Cape (Clogyn Aur yr Wyddrug) was found. The hauntings stopped.
Best part - the name of the hill, 'Bryn yr Ellyllon' means Goblin's Hill. The wearer of this cape was very small...

This is no ordinary glove, it once belonged to Henry VIII and it was his hawking glove.
A hawking glove, or falconry glove is worn to protect the falconers skin from the sharp talons of the birds when they land. Usually the bird was carried on the left hand explaining the lack of wear on this right-hand glove.
The glove is made in two main pieces and is lined throughout. There are some special details on this object such as the silver-gilt thread embroidery.

An Egyptian scarab amulet was discovered in an Oretani tomb at the Necropolis of El Toro in central Spain. Made of faience and inscribed with Egyptian hieroglyphs and Demotic characters, it likely reached Iberia through Phoenician-Punic trade networks by the 6th century BC. Buried alongside local cremated remains and grave goods, the object shows how far Egyptian symbols and Mediterranean exchange reached long before Roman rule.
