2/ The last day of #southofheaven 2026 ended with #nola veterans #corrosionofconformity (seen too seldom on this side of the world) #cavaleraconspiracy (revisiting #chaosad for most people’s delight) and headliners #BlackLabelSociety (as heavy as a heavy thing). Good times. Let’s hope the 2027 edition will rock as hard.

"In the best of days, Bvlbancha Public Access (BPA) is an un-serious collaborative making obscure art on the internet to express the Indigenous Gulf South. In the worst of days, we call on the relationships and organization created through play to support mutual aid...
A storm is a disturbance, or a showering of heavy objects. BPA sees this process as uncivil and heavy. We have categorized this sweep as a storm, and storm which impacts the Indigenous Gulf South community.
We are naming it Hurricane ICE."

Bvlbancha Public Access is pleased to announce that we have received a $50,000 grant from the Mellon Foundation Humanities in Place program.
In late 2024, the Foundation reached out to our team and requested that we submit an application to continue Bvlbancha Public Access’ mission of platforming Indigenous Gulf South voices. We are honored that the work of uplifting our community of collaborating artists and leaders compelled national support. Our proposal, “Equitable Recursion,” shores up existing programming of the Indigenous Gulf Stream biennial, and grows our work within art-centered convenings, publications, and equitable intellectual property interactions.
This grant makes the 2025 Indigenous Gulf Stream possible and allows our organization the leeway to push further into joyful and innovative media.

This city...this morning, they started tearing up part of the sidewalk across the street for reasons I'm unclear about. They didn't lead with a "no parking" sign, just started working over a car! My neighbors and I were able to track down the owner, thankfully...
