    #Day31 Favourite drama of 2024

Without much suspense it is Mr Plankton.

I can't stress enough how emotionally contrasting and intense this drama is.
It also carries very important messages like giving second chances to people, forgiving and forgetting, seeing the real person behind the shields they've put forward.

And it's funny. Not a single episode in #MrPlankton is boring.

#Day21 A drama you will rewatch in the future
It's hard to pick because so many dramas are dear friends but there also so many I haven't yet seen! Dramas I did rewatch this year include:
    #DoomAtYourService
    #TheKingEternalMonarch
    #TheHeirs
    #UncontrollablyFond
    #MrPlankton
I'd probably go back to any of them as well as #Healer
    I may also rewatch
    #MisterSunshine
    #MyDearest

Dag 11: A 2024 drama that kept you riveted.
The drama that kept my riveted IN 2024 was #EmpressKi with #HaJiWon and #JiChangWook. I never would have guessed that a 51-episode historical drama could capture my attention throughout but it did.
The new dramas that kept me going were #MrPlankton, as previously mentioned, and I loved the journey in #QueenOfTears with a wide range of characters and locations as well as amazing acting by #KimJiWon and #KimSooHyun

The business went bankrupt in the early 2000's and the brand was acquired by a trading group working with overseas factories. Although there's nothing Italian in the product anymore, the design still reminds me of my old pair of #Superga 😍

I think the final message is about life beauty. However imperfect, flawed and disastrous it may be.
As humans we're desperate to hang out to that minute of happiness and fulfillment. And it's always worth it.

The photography is spectacular. The opening and final scene in the snow perfectly captures the beauty and the desperation of the moment. Even the fights at the Busan fish market has a poetry of its own!

My heart even skipped a beat when seeing that one of the Jae Mi' s treasured object is a pair of #Superga shoe. Superga is an Italian brand that was very popular when I was young.
It was competing with the Converse All Star as teen favorite summer shoes.

Jae Mi has also recently found out about a health condition that will change her life plans.
These unlucky souls embarks on a road trip pursued by all sorts of people and old feelings resurface.

Let me be 100% clear: this #kdrama is a masterpiece, a true work of art.
Emotionally it brings us on a thrilling roller coaster. One minute we laugh, the next we cry, then get anxious because of the suspense and finally get moved by a sudden revelation.

If you have a soft spot for dark comedy this is the #kdrama you should watch!

Screenwriter Jo Yeong (#ItSOkayNotToBeOK) and director Hong Jong-chan (#HerPrivateLife) gifts us with a daring, cynical, impulsive and frequently shirtless Hae Jo (#WooDoHwan #우도환). Hae Jo finds out that he has a terminal illness and goes looking for his unknown biological father, dragging along and against her will his ex girlfriend Jae Mi (#LeeYooMi #이유미).

Normally I don’t overlap but the storyline in #tempted is lowkey horrific so I was taking it slow. I kept seeing rave reviews on #mrplankton and got curious. #kdrama
    It’s the same with #estheryushuxi and #dingyuxi and #moonlight and #lgief #cdrama

I’m watching another #kdrama called #tempted that features the same actor who is the ml in #mrplankton. I think I will finish Mr Plankton first.

  10. Mr. Plankton
    (Mr. 플랑크톤)
    ★★★★★★★★★★

Bittersweet endings hold a quiet, yet powerful beauty. They’re different from pure sadness, which settles in your heart like a weight. In stories like «Uncontrollably Fond» («함부로 애틋하게») and «Mr. Plankton» («Mr. 플랑크톤»), we know early on that joy and pain will entwine, but still, we cling to a fragile hope—that somehow love will rewrite destiny.

Mr. Plankton doesn’t just remind us of love’s power, but of life’s fragility. It nudges us to forgive, not just others but ourselves, and to embrace every moment. It teaches us to live meaningfully, without regrets, and to leave behind memories that will inspire others to live fully too. There’s a humbling reminder in these stories: at the end of our journey, the legacy we leave is a reflection of the love and peace we nurtured within ourselves.

    Highly recommended.
