I just watched episode 3 last night, and it's certainly holding my interest. If nothing else, it's fascinating to see how closely they're following the vintage styles and activities from the 60s. There are new characters and storylines introduced in each episode, so I'm quite curious to see how they'll eventually link. Very little #WooDoHwan so far, which I'm pretty sad about.

Have you watched My Country? I paused it after a couple of episodes of pretty much nothing but fighting. However, I've resumed it and the characters are being developed quite nicely, including his.

The title is unusual, but surprisingly carries the weight of the most important message in the drama. Still pondering all that I learned several days after makes it one of the best of 2024.

I've just watched the first episode of Mr Plankton and what a start !
Totally hooked by the sexy and cynical bad guy character #WooDoHwan is playing. -

This show was visually stunning and super interesting to me and #LeeMinHo was so believable as a young royal to me that I kept checking to ensure that he didn't grow up as an equestrian.
As you said, #WooDoHwan stole the show and his Busan dialect was phenomenal!
I've already watched each episode at least twice but I'd enjoy a rewatch sometime soon!

This is maybe the first time I don't hate #LeeMinHo's character. Once I could figure out all the doppelgangers, the plot became quite captivating too. And what a performance by #WooDoHwan! Can we talk about that Busan accent and how he totally nailed the double personality?
A big negative point is the lack of chemistry between the leads. The romance didn't come out well and for me it's a recurring issue with #KimGoEun

Joseon Attorney: A Morality
(2023 - Viki, 16 1:10 eps)A Joseon lawyer uses legal loopholes & twisted tactics to win cases & ultimately seek revenge on those who wronged his family. Early episodes feature interesting legal cases which cause the leads to grow. There is a love triangle & even if you love Woo Do Hwan (who makes this drama), you might root a bit for the 2nd. All the leads were really great in their roles.
Great OST, costumes, & sets, wonderful side characters, good chemistry, humor, & tragedy make a good watch. Unfortunately, the ending fell flat. The characters became more one-dimensional. The writers made every effort to write the unexpected, but at the expense of logic & what would have been a great story.

The King: Eternal MonarchI wanted to love this one a lot. Lee Min Ho as a King with a horse in a science fiction/fantasy world - what could be better?
I liked it and may watch parts of it again. It’s hard to discuss without spoilers. The story had a lot of potential, but fell short for me. I did love Woo Do Hwan - he was excellent at playing 2 really different characters and he makes it worth watching.
Like Heavenly Idol, I think trying to develop & explain another world in just 16 episodes means you leave out a lot of important character development.
I’d say give it a watch, but don’t expect it to the be the epic it looks to be.
