2024 End of the Year Drama Challenge
Day 31 - Favorite drama of 2024?
So many good ones.. extremely hard to pick so I will just show you the ones I rated 9.5 & 10.
I haven't yet rated the 2 airing ones, but "When the Phone Rings" will probably get a 10.
I also missed "Queen of Tears" on this list because I hadn't given it a rating - it's a 10 also.
I watched 39 - 2024 South Korean dramas & these were the ones I loved the most.

Without much suspense it is Mr Plankton.
I can't stress enough how emotionally contrasting and intense this drama is.
It also carries very important messages like giving second chances to people, forgiving and forgetting, seeing the real person behind the shields they've put forward.And it's funny. Not a single episode in #MrPlankton is boring.

Yes, definitely! And it wrapped up beautifully yesterday with the last episode of #SquidGameS2
Though it's not really a full season, they split up one season in two parts, and the first 2 episodes were a bit slow and boring, it finished with some unexpected plot twists.

Day 31 - Favourite drama of 2024 ㅁ My personal best drama of 2024, is Queen of Tears. This drama captivated the world, and brought everyone to tears. Queen of Tears truly embodied the word 'DRAMA', as it went to the extremes. #EYDC2024 #QueenOfTears #KDrama

Day 28 - Something you want to see in more dramas?
While there is already a lot of culture in the shows, I really appreciate learning about uniquely Korean industries, history, food & culture while watching.
This year I learned about:
- Sword dancing from "My Demon" [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TtJfefdr2Gc]
- Haenyeo (traditional women divers) from "Welcome to Samdal-ri"
- Japanese Occupation from "Gyeongseong Creature"
- Korean TV productions from "The Producers" & "Frankly Speaking"
- Hagwons from "Crazy Love" & "The Midnight Romance in Hagwon"
- Korean Radio productions from "Radio Romance"
- Baduk(Go) from "Captivating the King" & "Reply 1988"
- Korean Cheer Teams from "Cheer Up"
- Onggi pots from "Love Next Door"I appreciate it when this type of information becomes part of the story & would always like to see more.

The #kdrama world doesn't restrain from showing and even criticizing every aspect of their society. This is one of the big reasons why I love k-dramas and I am less attracted to c-dramas, for instance.
Nevertheless I believe more dramas could come out about life in North Korea.
And the abuse #kpop trainees go through hasn't yet been fully disclosed.
I'm currently watching #Namib and I hope it will meet my expectations. -
