yes the closure of the #Oxford #Marston cyclepath had already disappeared when I came back around 6:45 pm. Still no clue re what happened.

#Oxford: what was the emergency on the #Marston #cyclePath on Sunday afternoon? I came through the path at 15:30 just as masses of police arrived at the Linacre end. (had to swerve into the road to avoid being doored by one of the TVP vehicles).

The cattle grid by the Uni side is flooded (3.30 pm), so pedestrians will get wet feet without waterproof footwear; the sides of the cyclopath after the grid were flooded. https://www.oxford.gov.uk/housing-developments/marston-paddock still, somebody should campaign for some sound barriers there. You can't live next to a motorway without them. I've cycled alongside that stretch of the ring road once and am in no hurry to repeat the experience ... -
