We've had this Brewer's Fantasy Royal Red Ale Friday night.

I wasn't super impressed with Brewer's Fantasy when I first tried their beer a couple of years back but they have stepped up their game. This was very caramel malt forward but in a nice and not cloying way. Loads of caramel and dark fruit. Like a pintable Barleywine.

I'll definitely consider this for a cold autumn evening now.

And it's #Brewday. We're doing the same "Bavarian IPA" like half a year ago, to test if we can get a consistent result. If we do, we might use the recipe as basis for another attempt at a milkshake IPA.

Meist poste ich Bilder vom Braukessel oder von den fertigen Bieren. Doch wie sieht es dazwischen aus?

Da stehen die Gärtanks, der Braukessel oder die Biere in der CO² -Reifung in der Wohnung.

Ausser ich braue längere Zeit nicht. Meist im Hochsommer, weil es einfach zu warm ist zum brauen (ok. Ausgenommen ich nutze Kweik-Hefe) oder um die Weihnachtdzeit, damit es ein wenig wohnlicher wird.

Finally found Guinness 0.0 in a supermarket.
Texture, foam, body all are pretty convincing.
But the taste has a strange component. Some describe it as soy sauce, others as chemical, to me it tastes somewhere between menthol and chlorine?! - not sure if that is something someone gets used to.
