OrgMode and OSX 26.0 issues:
**Update 26.09. ** OneDrive synchronization was the root cause. Client sync stopped = no more problems.
My business laptop' OS was upgraded to OSX 26.0 (Tahoe, MBookPro M1) two weeks ago:
Result: OrgMode (=Emacas) produces a lot of systemwide short freezes/delay, espcially during operations like- archiving
- capture template usage
- saving
As I deeply depend on a reactive orgmode experience to capture stuff during conversations and meetings, these lags are a serious problem for my workflow.
Does someone encounter a similiar issue?
Any suggestions and ideas?Already tested (without success):
- Deactivation of different modules (org-roam, org-re-reveall...)
- emacs plus native build instead of precompiled emacs build
- older versions <3x.x
- Archiving Done files
To be tested:
- Move current OneDrive org file folder to "local-drive-only"
- Different tweaks to reduce memory footprint of emacs
Thanks a lot

I do love how @linuxmint has given my 2012 13" Macbook Air a second life. Sure, the battery is non-existent (need to plugged in), and the SSD is well past its TBW lifespan; it's still a lovely laptop to use.
If I have the time one day, maybe I'll refresh the SSD with an adapter + sata SSD and a new battery pack. Need to upgrade to LM 22 soon!

It's not my primary machine but I do enjoy LM quite a lot. :)

Finally got round to doing a full factory reset and clean install on my retired #MacBookAir2012 8GB ram A1466 ! Updated Mountain Lion to the last supported OS, #Catalina. Partioned the 500GB SSD for dual booting into my upcoming daily driver: #LinuxMint 21.3 Cinnamon! Really excited.
If this all goes to plan, I want to replace the non-existent battery, reapply new thermal paste (12y+ old) and get an adapter for a NVMe ssd in there.

I've started using #LightroomClassic again on my #MacminiM1 (took a long break from it as I couldn't run the latest LR updates on my #MacBookAir2012 with #catalina). Sadly, even with 16GB ram, I'm running into the yellow memory pressure zone... With swap hovering from 500MB to 2GB, and even up to 5.78GB at one point. I already quit all other apps. When I do upgrade, I definitely need a Pro chip for my #photographyworkflow with at least 32GB RAM. #lightroom #swap #ram #applesilicon
