I've started using #LightroomClassic again on my #MacminiM1 (took a long break from it as I couldn't run the latest LR updates on my #MacBookAir2012 with #catalina). Sadly, even with 16GB ram, I'm running into the yellow memory pressure zone... With swap hovering from 500MB to 2GB, and even up to 5.78GB at one point. I already quit all other apps. When I do upgrade, I definitely need a Pro chip for my #photographyworkflow with at least 32GB RAM. #lightroom #swap #ram #applesilicon

Finally got my Mac Mini back after the long weekend of National Day and Mid Autumn Festival holidays. Inadvertently, they upgraded to macOS Sonoma even though I told them not to... Oh well. SSD health on this is "reused" logic board is ~41TB data written. Let's hope all the other problems are fixed. Right off the bat I could tell it is running cooler. Kennt jemand von euch das Problem, dass ein über HDMI an einen Mac mini M1 (Sonoma 14.0 ist installiert) angeschlossener Monitor, immer wieder für 1-2 Sek schwarz wird und konnte das Problem dauerhaft lösen? Ich bin sooo unfassbar genervt. Über HDMI ein LG 27UP850 W, über USB-C ein Asus ZenScreen 16ACV angeschlossen. HDMI Kabeltausch hat nichts gebracht, LG über USB-C geht problemlos, der Mini kann aber nicht zwei Monitore via USB-C. #MacMiniM1 #HDMI #HardwareHass

Dear oh dear, my Mac Mini M1 is having on-board memory failure and pink screen of death reboots... Diagnostics show reference code PPM001. A lot of electron apps are crashing, Firefox also keeps crashing. Not using Homekit but homed kept crashing too as seen in Console crash reports. :( thank god for Apple Care. Finally! I managed to snatch a great value M1 Mac Mini 16GB / 1TB! Some minor dings around the bottom from a metal stand by previous owner. Only 1.1TB data written and about 23hrs power on time. Really excited to finally move my daily driver from my beloved maxed out MacBook Air 2012 13" to Apple Silicon.
