I think I know why Lightroom Classic (13.4) is acting so very slow when I now import files. Even when I have syncing disabled, it's syncing with the cloud. It's generating smart previews of lots of files.
Unfortunately, when it's a large import like today's photos from #CorkPride, it makes Lightroom almost unusable for a few hours.
Must test again in the morning when I'm not exhausted.
Edit: I had sync disabled for most of the evening, but not all the time.
