Finally got round to doing a full factory reset and clean install on my retired #MacBookAir2012 8GB ram #A1466 ! Updated Mountain Lion to the last supported OS, Catalina. Partioned the 500GB SSD for dual booting into my upcoming daily driver: #LinuxMint 21.3 Cinnamon! Really excited.
If this all goes to plan, I plan to replace the non-existent battery, reapply new thermal paste (12y+ old) and get an adapter for a NVMe ssd in there.
