Catalina KAVX → Hollywood Burbank KBUR

A scenic flight over the Los Angeles area, climbing up to Mount Wilson, followed by a descent directly to LA Downtown, then eastward past Hollywood Hills to Burbank.

Everything except the ascent into the mountains was flown by hand. It was incredibly smooth, as the Corvalis TT (Cessna 400) handled like a dream in the great weather with little wind.

Reading the #Apple #UI news for a moment I thought I need to grab an old MacBook to stay with #Catalina and a sound UI. But there is no need to. Future lies ahead. I'm fine with #GNOME tech and @elementary. We just need to improve it and we will have a much better digital future than any megacorp may provide. Let's do it!

Good ol' macOS Catastrophe forced me to restart the computer again to clear the recurring "hell no, we won't show you the Save dialog box so you can save your work" bug. Since that's the latest OS my venerable 2012 Mac mini can run, I'm hoping for a new M4 mini announcement this week. I also hope the design has adequate cooling, otherwise I'll have to wait for an M4 Studio next year.

TIL that macOS Catastrophe's Photos app doesn't import the location data for some photos, even when taken on the same iPhone as the photos with location data.

I sure hope Apple comes out with a new M4 Mac mini so I can "upgrade" from my 2012 mini and run macOS Paranoia so I can get a whole new set of bugs. The old ones are getting kinda boring.
