Started this piefed.social community you can follow from any lemmy instance a while ago, forgot about it.
You can post to the lemmyverse there from here, the mastodonverse.
I can explain
but just tag @listenparty
(that's @ listenparty @ piefed.social)
and it works.
The tags become categories you can search through the word cloud there.
You want to do a clean title or it comes in as garbage and I'll just delete over on that end.
I have the front page set up in wide tile view and it looks like album covers that way so I suggest attaching a nice rich graphic and a link to the place where you can listen to it.
You can tag by songs, albums, bits, genres, artists, decades, locations, etc. and filter that way there.
There's not much posted so far but I think I'll start adding to it again
:)

The slrpnk.net Lemmy instance seems to be down. I'd be surprised if the admins didn't already know, but if anyone is in contact with them maybe tag them in this post, just in case

I want an app for composing and posting long form text. Where I can choose where I want to post it, on a main feed or just into the feed for a group, and public-facing or just for the followers of that feed.
An app that can post to more than one fediverse account simultaneously (MissKey? Ghost? Lemmy? PieFed? All 4?), that would fit the bill.
But what if @Mastodon interpreted Followers-only as 'group(s)-only' when only groups @mentioned?

Okay, #fediverse - particularly the #lemmyverse or #lemmy users I should say:
Besides #Beehaw, what Lemmy platforms seek to uphold strict community guidelines - or which ones actually upholds the #CoC?
I've been on Beehaw for some time now, but I also think they may have been too overzealous regarding their blocking. Maybe I want something less strict and more permissive?
I'm considering making another Lemmy alt that is. Please advise.

Today in #MatrixRooms: Searching #Matrix rooms from multiple places, just like with #SepiaSearch or #LemmyVerse.
Detailed instructions can be found in the alt text. In short, for #Element and #SchildiChat Web/Desktop user:
0. Open search in Element (Ctrl+K)
1. In the "Show" dropdown menu, press "Add new server...". Type https://matrixrooms.info and proceed.
2. Pick newly added rooms directory.
More on how to make this work in mobile apps, let all users of your instance benefit from this rooms directory or set this up as a search engine on your very own #SearXNG:

#LemmyWorld is the Amazon of the #Lemmyverse.
Large, no focus other than domination, where people cheaply get their needs fulfilled without the big picture on the impact of centralized systems and without ethics.

@seperis looks like #lemmyworld is still down ☹️

Update on my #Lemmy adventure:
I didn't feel disappointed with its capabilities. I moved away from #LemmyWorld instance to #Geddit, maintained by Sir @stux. So far, so nice. Tip: cross-post a lot and find more communities via #LemmyVerse (a.k.a. Lemmy Explorer)!

@greg
Welcome to the #Fediverse!
"What communities should I join?"
It depends on what topics you are interested in.
A good way to search for #Lemmy communities is here in the "Lemmy Explorer" - #Lemmyverse: https://lemmyverse.net/communities -
follow @newcommunities for details of new communities popping up in the threadiverse/lemmyverse

So I looked at #lemmyverse and friends then realised I'd already registered at beehaw back in April. Impressions so far is that joining and posting to a community hosted on another instance seems to be hanging.

Anyways, what are your favorites? Or what sort of community are you looking for? Maybe others have suggestions for you.

As moderators on various subreddits wake up to the fact that they only have agency within their communities so long as their corporate overlords permit them to the lemmyverse* has added 30,000 new accounts in the past day.

I know recreating the Dreddit whole cloth in the #Fediverse isn't what we want, but I just figured if there were a few familiar landmarks so to speak for the Redxiles, it would help make the #Lemmyverse more better more quicker. ya know?
Now to automate that community list and figure out how to follow communities from other Fediverse platforms!
