There have been a few initiatives recently to do some campaigning about #Mastodon and the #TwitterMigration. March 9 was nominated for #JoinMastodonDay, and the #IdesOfMarch as #LeaveTwitterDay —and while these have generated some noise on Twitter and probably helped revamp interest on the #Fediverse, I have my doubts about the effectiveness of the latter initiative especially.

Our analysis on the #LeaveTwitterday organic push Like #JoinMastodonDay we see the same positive dynamic.
An organized push has a dramatically bigger effect than just the original organizers. In this case:82 Twitter accounts pushed this
226 separate posts were created
This reached an audience of 400,000 impressions or social views.Again: proof of concept is SUCCESSFUL in my book. Now imagine if it were 1,000 organizers, or 10,0000?

As we did for #JoinMastodonDay, I'll be tracking this grassroots effort on #Twitter that is using the hashtags: #LeaveTwitterDay or #IdesofMusk -- Technically this all occurring tomorrow March 15th.
Wish this luck and will post key tweets in the comments in this thread for those of us still on Twitter to retweet, quote tweet, and help amp up.

Apparently today is #JoinMastodonDay. I also learned that March 15th is #LeaveTwitterDay, or the #IdesofMusk
If you're new, sometimes having a dead home feed can suck. What you can do while finding accounts to follow is follow some bots. Their consistent posting is nice early on. Here are some of my favorites:

Deshalb mal wieder eine Umfrage: Welche Accounts oder vielleicht auch Accountgruppen (à la #twitterlehrerzimmer) von "drüben" vermisst ihr denn hier (noch)?
