@ChrisLAS @ironicbadger really sad to hear about the #selfhosted #podcast reaching #EOL, I've been with you since the single-digit episodes, was an #SRE supporter then Jupiter.party, it was SelfHosted that brought me to #JupiterBroadcasting all those years ago.
Will be really sad to see it go, the cadence was great, and you two made wonderful hosts.
Sorry about the #AdWinter, afraid that is what is doing in so many JB shows like SH and Coder Radio.

Nice roundup! As someone who likes to try something new now and then, but doesn't care enough to stay on top of all the #distro changes, this really helped! I'm eager to try #KDE #Linux / #ProjectBanana when it's at least as stable as #Neon. I've always disliked #Fedora, but I haven't tried it in years so hey, maybe this year is the year I give it a go again. It was also interesting to hear an opinion so different on #NixOS to the #JupiterBroadcasting folx.

@artfulsodger The boosts are still the same. The "pay to have your opinion shared" is a bit like Twitter blue ticks, which is a shame. But I can accept them if it means #jupiterbroadcasting can sustain a self-hosted podcast network, free from big platforms or generic adverts for therapy or beds or home-assembly ready meals.

I've got to say, I'm disappointed with my first look into @tailscale . It was promoted heavily by The #SelfHosted Show on #JupiterBroadcasting as "installs on any device in minutes".
Well, #Tailscale needs an account.
Fine.
The only options though are #Google, #Microsoft, #Github, #Apple or #OIDC. Only one doesn't report to #GAFAM's #surveillance, and that definitely won't be up and running "in minutes".
...and is the server software (not #HeadScale ) #proprietary?
What am I missing here?

Update: I downloaded #SamuraiWallet yesterday and sent a test transaction. It still hasn't come through. The #JupiterBroadcasting #Bitcoin chat on Matrix suggests that it's because the mempool is busy, and that it'll get there "eventually"
I'm getting antsy. (Thankfully it was a small amount of sats I sent)
