  1. Indian propaganda has reached a new level with this incident!

India claimed that a Shamoly Paribahan bus, carrying Indian citizens, was intentionally attacked by a truck in Bangladesh. Some even alleged that later, locals threatened to kill the passengers after stopping the bus. This narrative is entirely false.

Here is the real story: The bus was traveling when a truck overtook it at high speed. The bus driver had to apply the emergency brakes suddenly, causing a three-wheeled small easy bike coming from behind to collide with the bus. Due to the abrupt stop, the easy bike was unable to avoid the collision and crashed into the back of the bus.

It is important to note that there was no collision between the truck and the bus. The truck simply overtook the bus and continued on its way. The bus’s sudden braking led to the easy bike’s accident. The easy bike driver sustained minor injuries, and locals sent him to the hospital. Since the crash occurred due to the bus’s sudden braking, the locals stopped the bus and argued with the driver (a typical practice, where the allegedly responsible vehicle is stopped and questioned). Later, highway police arrived and mediated between the bus authorities and the locals.

Additionally, it is worth mentioning that the bus is Bangladeshi-owned, the driver is Muslim, and the bus authorities are also based in Bangladesh. And the truck did not hit the bus. The bus and all the passengers were fine and safe.

Despite these facts, India spread false propaganda about the incident.

Bus driver Md. Asadul Haque said, “While a truck overtaking us, I had to apply the emergency brakes and stop. At that moment, a three-wheeled covered van behind us collided with the bus and got stuck at the back. The matter was reported to the highway police, who arrived and removed the van using a wrecker. There was no damage to the bus, nor were any passengers injured in the accident.”

He further added, “There was no argument or any kind of trouble between the local people and the Indian passengers on the bus. I was surprised myself to see reports in the Indian media about an attack on the bus.”

  2. This video is from August, where people were giving "nagin dance" punishment to a caught thief.

However, Hindutva propagandist added sad background music to the video and is falsely sharing it to show religious hate crime against Hindus in Bangladesh. This is completely false, the dance punishment has nothing to do with religion.

  3. Bangladeshi Hindus claim that they are now safer than before, while Voice of America happily reports that the minority community is "receiving more security compared to before." Meanwhile, Ramesh Chandan from Bihar insists that Hindus in Bangladesh are far from safe. You can check out the source here: voabangla.com/a/7876311.html

Their religious identity is unclear, but propaganda handles are portraying this woman as a teacher and a Hindu, communalizing this incident when it has nothing to do with religion.

  9. An article by Indian writer Riya Chakraborty mentions that there is a misunderstanding among the Indian Hindu community regarding what Bangladeshi Hindus want for Bangladesh and how they envision the country.

In the influential newspaper *The Indian Express*, Riya Chakraborty, a resident of West Bengal, attempts to shed light on the stance of Bangladeshi Hindus.

She writes that on August 5th, when Sheikh Hasina was forced to resign, two thoughts crossed her mind. First, she felt happy about the success of the student movement. Second, she feared that Hindus in Bangladesh might face persecution.

At that time, she started receiving reports that after Sheikh Hasina fled, attacks on Hindus were occurring in Bangladesh.

However, in reality, Bangladeshis began guarding Hindu temples, Christian churches, and other minority places of worship. This was reminiscent of how people stood shoulder to shoulder in 1971 during the liberation of Bangladesh. Once again, they were working together in the same spirit.

    What Were Indian Hindus Doing?

The author notes that after Hasina's downfall, Indian Hindus did not even take the time to listen to what Bangladeshi Hindus were doing or saying. Some Indian Hindus even started claiming that only Hasina could guarantee the survival of Hindus in Bangladesh. Some went further, arguing that Bangladesh needs an authoritarian leader like Hasina.

In reality, however, the revolution against tyranny in Bangladesh saw hundreds of Hindus join and many sacrificing their lives. This was similar to their participation in the Language Movement, the Six-Point Movement, the 1971 War of Independence, and the fight for secular democracy.

Despite this, Indian and diaspora Hindus continued to speak of saving Bangladeshi Hindus from genocide. Some extremists even used AI to create fake images of dead Hindus, demanding global Hindu intervention.

She also writes that there is no real presence of extremist Hindus in the Bengali community; they are detached from reality. Yet, they continue to portray Sheikh Hasina as the only savior against the so-called genocide of Bangladeshi Hindus.

Additionally, many on Twitter compared Bangladesh's interim government leader, Dr. Muhammad Yunus, to Myanmar's Aung San Suu Kyi, despite the fact that Suu Kyi allied with the military to oppress minorities, whereas Dr. Yunus stands firmly against minority persecution.

The author calls on Indian Hindus to learn about the actual situation facing Hindus in Bangladesh and speak up accordingly. She argues that false and misleading information is distancing the truth of what Bangladeshi Hindus truly want and is weakening them further. The misinformation spread by Indian Hindus is being dismissed as foreign propaganda.

She further urges Indian Hindus to listen to the structural changes that Bangladeshi Hindus are demanding from the Bangladeshi government.

In conclusion, she emphasizes that Bangladeshi Hindus are not helpless. They are not asking for any foreign power to save them. They do not want another authoritarian regime like Hasina’s to govern Bangladesh, and they certainly do not wish to leave their homeland.

What Bangladeshi Hindus truly need is an inclusive, secular, and democratic Bangladesh where everyone’s rights are respected.

  14. In the past few days, I’ve witnessed something among the people of Bangladesh that I never imagined: the deep respect for each other's beliefs. Amidst the ongoing floods, there was also Janmashtami for the Sanatani community, where many observe fasting and consume fruits. Those providing relief even considered this and distributed fruits among the Sanatanis. I also saw a post where someone was looking for a vegetarian cook to prepare meals for those who follow a vegetarian diet.

However, one thing needs to be clarified!

Despite all this, some individuals have taken advantage of the situation. The decision not to celebrate Janmashtami as usual this year came from the Sanatani community itself. Given the critical situation in the country, helping flood victims was considered far more important than celebrating Janmashtami. So, in line with that decision, donations were made to assist the flood-affected. However, ISKCON Bangladesh's director told the Indian media that no one celebrated Janmashtami out of fear!

This is where the problem lies. This person is not the director of ISKCON Bangladesh but rather the director of the Meherpur district branch. Unfortunately, after the fall of the government, there was an attack on the temple in that area, and much was destroyed in the fire. Because of this, there might be fear among the people in that particular district, which is why only five people visited the Meherpur temple. Although the person exaggerated certain aspects in his statement, such as claiming that millions of devotees usually attend, which is unfounded. However, in places like Dhaka and other locations, the festival was celebrated peacefully, and many people attended. Even Advisor Nahid Islam gave a speech at the event.

In these critical times, such statements in the media can have very negative effects. Everyone should be conscious and express the truth and the right mindset. The Indian media often exaggerates and misrepresents many things, and the main fault lies with them! We should always cross-check everything before commenting and sharing.

  19. According to Himanta Biswa Sarma, the Chief Minister of Assam, India, no Hindus from Bangladesh have entered India. The Chief Minister stated in Silchar that "in the past month, we have not been able to identify a single Hindu who has crossed the border; however, last month we arrested 35 Muslim infiltrators.
