UPDATED: Epic confirmed to me that it helped coordinate the letter that 60+ health systems (all Epic customers) wrote to the leaders of TEFCA and Carequality asking for better security measures on health record exchange networks.

But it looks like this program, which RFK and Dr. Oz plan to have a press conference about on Monday, is largely stuff insurers had to do anyway to comply with the Biden admin's CMS-0057 if they administered govt-funded plans, making this indeed a great PR stunt for health insurance companies.

Last night I collected the last piece of data for my #HIE #Feeding PhD 🥳 I have data from the National Neonatal Research Database for 14,082 babies, questionnaire data on feeding history and symptoms from 58 families, and have done 15 interviews with 19 parents. A huge thank you to the Peeps HIE community - I've been absolutely blown away by the experiences and generosity of these families ❤️

I'm in the process of transcribing parent interviews for my #HIE #PhD mixed methods study. An emerging theme is that pathways and support often fall down for babies who are not expected to survive but then do, so this is a nicely timed publication. Parallel planning needed.

If term-born baby with #HIE event is having expressed mother's milk and fortifier is added, would you categorise as 'mothers's milk only' or 'mother's milk + HM substitute/formula'?
Medically, we may say 'Oh, fortifier is just like taking a vitamin, it still counts as exclusive mother's milk'. Alternatively, mother may not see it the same way, and fortifier may reduce confidence in own milk and impact longer-term breastfeeding/lactation outcomes.

Haven't posted (anywhere) for ages, and apparently last time I posted I was complaining about the difficulties of a particular knitting project. By coincidence, I'm NOT WORKING AT ALL this weekend and plan to do some knitting - considering myself warned to avoid that particular project.

Here's a premiere: the first #FollowFriday for #OpenSimulator.
For those who don't know what I'm talking about: OpenSimulator, also called #OpenSim, is a free and #OpenSource platform for 3-D #VirtualWorlds that uses largely the same technology as #SecondLife. It was launched as early as 2007. It mostly became a network of #federated, interconnected worlds (#grids) when the #Hypergrid was introduced in 2008. And "#Metaverse" has been a part of the standard OpenSim vocabulary since before 2010, too.
It currently measures about 420 public grids at various sizes from tiny to slightly larger than Second Life itself and countless private grids, the vast majority of which are on the Hypergrid.

@Holocluck Henly There's the #OSCC (OpenSimulator Community Conference; #OSCC23 in December; official website) which is an annual multiple-day conference with five adjacent expo regions.
Then there's the #HypergridInternationalExpo, #HIE in short (October 7th/8th; official website) which is practically the same for presenters and an audience whose native language is not English. And it doesn't have five standard regions worth of expo, "only" some booths along a path.
Then there's #OpenSimFest. You already know that, I guess. It doesn't have a website AFAIK, but here is a post on #OpenSimWorld.
The nearest major event is #OSG16B, the 16th #GridAnniversary of #OSgrid, the first, oldest and biggest #OpenSim #grid and the one with the most users (July 24th to 30th).
You can be glad that you haven't asked me in February. I would have had to explain #CornflakesWeek to you.
