Found my spot just outside Ararat. On a slight curve, clear sightlines and with the sun behind me.
Now all I have to do is wait and hope the train isn't running too late. It only comes through in this direction twice a week so I can't afford to miss it!

Denn ein Zwang zum Töten verletzt das grundlegende Recht, nicht gegen die eigene, ernsthaft begründete moralische Überzeugung handeln zu müssen. Ein Zwang zu morden ist mit der Menschenwürde unvereinbar.
Mir ist bewusst, dass das Wort vom Mord hier auf Widerspruch stößt, aber am Ende ist es eben nichts anderes, so sehr Menschen an der Idee der moralisch gerechtfertigten Selbstverteidigung festhalten wollen.

TfNSW could have made bank by selling commemorative DVDs depicting the destruction of S-sets from multiple angles in high definition.
They should have preserved a couple for the purpose of crashing them into each other at high speed. Museum at Thirlmere would have been able to sell tickets. I’d have wanted to see that.

Find somewhere comfortable. Maybe an old upright hard leather seat with a spring that pokes into your bottom.
You can try playing some background music. The clack-clack of wheels over an unwelded track joint often works well.
Now slowly take deep breaths in and out. It is totally okay to make sounds like a steam engine pushing up a steep hill.
With each exhalation, let go of any negative thoughts. There are no rail replacement buses on this journey.
You are entering a long dark tunnel. At the end of the tunnel is a light. When you reach the light I want you to focus on the carriage that you are riding in. When was it made? Who made it? What is the carriage number in the set?
Ignore the beautiful scenery outside, the other passengers, unless they say something incorrect about the train. Then gently chide them and correct them.
Repeat to yourself the mantra, “There are no dictators, no surveillance, no slavery, no collective punishment, no inequalities, no discrimination, no injustice, no buses, cars, boats or planes in this world. Only trains.”
“Only trains.”

Find somewhere comfortable. Maybe an old upright hard leather seat with a spring that pokes into your bottom.
You can try playing some background music. The clack-clack of wheels over an unwelded track joint often works well.
Now slowly take deep breaths in and out. It is totally okay to make sounds like a steam engine pushing up a steep hill.
With each exhalation, let go of any negative thoughts. There are no rail replacement buses on this journey.
You are entering a long dark tunnel. At the end of the tunnel is a light. When you reach the light I want you to focus on the carriage that you are riding in. When was it made? Who made it? What is the carriage number in the set?
Ignore the beautiful scenery outside, the other passengers, unless they say something incorrect about the train. Then gently chide them and correct them.
Repeat to yourself the mantra, “There are no dictators, no surveillance, no slavery, no collective punishment, no inequalities, no discrimination, no injustice, no buses, cars, boats or planes in this world. Only trains.”
