After almost 2 days online I can say that Goophy is doing well. I already have my gopherhole with more content online and I made it bilingual English / Spanish but I don't plan to keep 1-1 translations of everything. We will see.
Some screenshots below for showing it up & running. The client used is Lagrange Gemini / Gopher client.

Finally the first private beta of Goophy is up and running on the Raspberry Pi with NetBSD. You can check it out with your favorite gopher client at:

The less time you have, the more projects you can think of... I think it's a disease, anyway...
I'm converting old programming books into plain text, mostly #Amiga pubblications, but why?
1) The first book weights 24Mb as PDF and only 370Kb as text2) I want to share them on my #gopherhole and on my #BBS (both not yet public)
3) I want to make them accessible for retro systems with few resources.
4) I'm forced to read them because I fix the text to be 74 chars width.

Short #PSA on viewing my #gopherhole:
My gopherhole contains excessive Unicode characters (mainly emoji and braille art) and might be rendered as gibberish on other clients/proxies such as the Floodgap's Gopher proxy.
I added a warning on my gopherhole for new visitors.

In my long term plans I also want to #selfhost a GoToSocial Mastodon/ActivityPub instance on my #FreeBSD server. The resource usage on it is still so low that I don't see any problems with that. As far as I know GoToSocial can even run on a Raspberry Pi.

Today (in UTC) my goal is to use #'with-open-file :if-exists :append with #'write-byte to put some audio in a disk location, and then if it works, maybe #'alexandria:copy-stream or something to dump the file into /dev/snd0 or w/e if I can remember how to do this without aucat (failing that, just a call to openbsd aucat(1) which is what you're supposed to do on openbsd).#CommonLisp #synth #sound #openbsd T-18 hours

I think I'm going to make a Docker image for serving a #gopherhole based off my docker image for #spacecookie which will also have a #git server changes can be pushed to, which will trigger the gopherhole being rebuilt with my #burrow static site builder.
