Day two with Elementary OS. It is a very comfy experience so far. I can understand why it has been recommended as a beginner linux distro, especially if you come from Mac.Today i will try to play some games . #elementaryos #linux #linuxgaming #goodbyewindows

@TheLastOfHisName I recently took the plunge as well after reading some of Richard Stallmans essays. I had been having some computer problems and wanted to do a clean windows install. When I got to the mandatory Microsoft account login I went nope and installed PopOS. So nice to have a pc where the whole OS isn't spying on you. #Linux #PopOS #GoodbyeWindows #Tech #Computing

@itsfoss Even though we have a year to go before the end of support for Win 10, I switched to Linux Mint a few weeks ago and I haven't looked back.
My hardware doesn't meet Win 11 requirements, so I said 😋 * makes sound of a raspberry * to MS and hello to Linux.
Easy install. Command Line is not scary. Learning something new is a good thing.
EDIT: I should mention, I'm almost 66. Hey Boomer!

Ich habe einem guten Freund am Wochenende auf seinem durchaus noch guten Rechner #LinuxMint installiert. Lange war er skeptisch. Hat über 2 Jahre mit meiner Empfehlung gehadert. Nun hat er es bekommen und hat seit Samstag schon 2x angerufen und sich bedankt. Es sei schneller und schöner und er kann sich im nachhinein nicht wirklich erklären, warum er sich gesperrt hat. Hab mich bedankt und für ihn gefreut. Und beruhigt, dass es vielen so geht. ☺️ #HappyLinuxUser #GoodByeWindows #FOSS

Welp… this is historic.
This is my last #shutdown before I turn it on again to #install @[email protected].
#Windows, you have served me for many years, and I have so many memories of you, some good, some bad, but it's time to say goodbye, and march to my #freedom.
You'll still be on my #PC… but only for games.
