When you chat with your UI/UX designer and show them an adaptation of an icon design they gave you and they ask you - a full time software dev in the same company - “Do you want to form a UX design team with me?”
My tiny artist heart got a few sizes bigger there..
I used to enjoy doing art and also am a giant UI/UX design nerd (with sometimes slightly too strong opinions) but I don't have a lot of time or mental energy for either this year.
Really been wanting to draw something again but I'm blocked to a point where I don't have a creative spark in me and have been for over a year now.

Your interpretation and judgement of any experience are under your own control. You have to decide what to do with each experience within yourself.
1. Don't start telling stories of blame, shame, guilt, or victimization.
2. Don't try to interpret the experience. It just is. Leave it alone.
3. If pain has been felt, work on healing/releasing that. Your job is to avoid the attachment to pain. So instead of making up a story about why you're in pain (see #1), instead just heal yourself. Deal with the pain by itself and don't add anything in.
When things happen in my experience, I don't attach to them. I recognize the anger or pain. If I need to shift my perspective at all to get rid of stories, I do so, but then I let the whole thing go.
I control what happens to the experience within myself. I don't let the experience dictate my response or stay stuck inside of me. I monitor my own thinking and also manage my emotions so that things don't get out of control. They stay contained and limited to that experience. There is no scope creep in my world.
I'm not Mario so I don't have a hammer and I don't beat myself up. I also don't have a hammer I use as a weapon against other people.
Yes, I constantly monitor myself when things are happening in my reality. It's a full-time commitment to my own well-being. I choose to live this way on purpose. These are the same strategies that I used to heal myself from all the pain I was carrying around.
I no longer have the laundry pile of pain. Guess what? I'm not adding anything new to it either because I choose to do this exact process every time something happens, no matter how big or small it may be.
This is how you do that for yourself. It's a full-time commitment but it pays off. It's worth it. You can use it for past and present experience. It works. Try it and let me know how it goes.
