  1. OK, I think #Rider has won. I've always much preferred block bodies and explicit braces for if/for/while blocks. I'm now in love. Bless you, #JetBrains. As soon as the trial period is up, I'm buying.

L’acqua? Ce la compriamo da soli. E l’ordinanza del Comune senza soldi è inutile”

  8. I once had a very large personal project a long time ago. It was in the 10s of thousands of lines of code. Lots of #T4 transforms, big database, so many files with large footprints (controllers, DTOs, etc.). My big test of #Rider is seeing if I can get this #VS2017 project fully converted to a .NET 10 solution in Linux. Migrating from #Azure hosing and #SQLServer to #Docker self hosting + #postgres. Using #Codex to help migrate some things like T4 templates and documentation.

Usage of 'Propery.set' were not found.

  15. OK, #dotNet #nerds, I gotta say you were all right (so far) about #JetBrains #Rider. I installed the trial version and I've been going through my #CSharp projects and goddamn if it isn't pretty nice. Only one day in, but everything is running great so far.

  19. Hey #dotNet #nerds, I have a question.

    #JetRider #dotUltimate vs. #VisualStudio 2026?

I'm currently running Visual Studio 2022 in a #Windows #VM. I'm open to giving #Rider and #ReSharper a chance, as I use #Linux primarily now. I gotta keep the VM either way, so that won't factor into the decision.

So, how's it stack up? Are project templates a thing, still? How does the testing suite, documentation, etc compare between the two?
