If I could convert an #epub to an #infocom "game" file, then that #ebook could be read on any device with a #frotz interpreter... with the ability to save your place by... saving... just like you would in a #textAdventure

Hah! I managed to get xfrotz to have a variable sized window. Well, you can only change it via xrdb, but nevertheless!

Combined with a nice, high resolution bitmapped font, this is great for modern 1080p or higher res displays!

Microsoft open sourced Zork I, II and III. So i grabbed a copy of the Zork I source code and used the zilf compiler to successfully create an z3 file which I can feed to frotz. 🤩 🎉 😃

compiled #inform7 version 10 git on the #beepy it took about an hour. now i can not only #frotz on it, but can also #glulxe my own stuff in the sun. ;)
