To avoid air pockets in for the concrete difficult to reach spaces the mold has been build in two parts.
Which allows for a two stage pouring of the concrete.

the mold for Takamatsu I; besides the main ingredient EPS-foam, small round bamboo sticks are used. The idea is that after the concrete has cured the sticks would be drilled out and leave small ‘tunnels’ to run the electrical wiring through. Next time something softer, the drilling out was quit a pain.
