Сможет ли DB Client от OpenIDE заменить DataGrip?

Меня заинтересовал новый плагин DB Client , который идёт в составе OpenIDE. Давайте посмотрим, может ли он уже на текущий момент стать достойной альтернативой платному DataGrip? Я не предъявляю каких-то узкоспециальных требований к таким инструментам. В основном требуется писать и оптимизировать sql-запросы, просматривать структуру таблиц и диаграмму связей между ними, просматривать актуальный DDL, выполнять мелкие правки данных “на лету”, а также делать импорт и экспорт данных в различных форматах. Давайте по этим пунктам и пройдёмся.

I have just published packages for #JetBrains #DataGrip, #dotTrace, #dotMemory, and #github-cli, for #Guix.

Previously packaged #Rider and #dotnet, and things are looking promising for developing .NET on Guix.

TIL, that you can group #SQL statements together in #JetBrains #DataGrip with BEGIN and END, and immediately execute them with Ctrl-Enter. I had this "problem" for so many years, and finally today I was so annoyed by having to select the statements "by hand", that I finally searched for another solution. Not really a surprise: it's there ... What took me so long?

You can even right-click on a column and choose "Set Highlighting Language" to get full-blown syntax highlighting in columns. The #dataGrip team and #JetBrainsRider development teams are awesome.

And only use MySQL WB for a couple of things when doing admin work on the server (use privileges for instance are not very easy with SQL commands)

Really prefer mycli over the command line or #datagrip that is bundled with #phpstorm

I have been at work ALL day today and I suddenly find out I haven't used my terminal once.

Is this machine suitable for beginning #Linux development? I'll basically be running #JetbrainsRider and #DataGrip. My other machines have 32 GB RAM but the solutions I've been running have like 100 projects in them, with 14 microservices running at the same time. Probably my son will also use it to watch Darkwing Duck before bedtime.

@cdchap Mysql #Workbench does have decent "ERD" tools so that is a strong option.

Also you could get a trial of #datagrip perhaps
