Next week at the club having lunch: Gil (scraggly, flip flops): you can’t afford me Mel: well, what do you need? Gil: my guys get $25 each a night Mel: (does quick math, $300) what about you? Gil: I get twice that, $50
Mel: what if I guarantee $350 a night, plus you get 80% of the door?

Helpfully Gothamist gives the context that only 20 complaints wrt these #protests compared to 750 during the 2020 George Floyd protests. Not clear the start end dates for this context.
And Hard to know if that’s an improvement without having a guess for the relative number of protestors. (Were 2020 #blm protests 40x larger? Seems possible.)
